Abstract:
A remote starting system operable with a passive anti theft security system. The passive anti theft security system includes a first coil connected to a passive anti theft controller, which is used for transmitting a first signal to a first transponder. The first transponder has a third coil and a first code. The first transponder is responsive to the first signal and transmits the first code to the first coil. The remote starting system comprises a second transponder, which has a second code and a fourth coil. The fourth coil has two terminal ends wound about the second transponder. The system further comprises a relay that selectively shorts or opens the terminal ends of the fourth coil so as to selectively enable and disable the second transponder.

Abstract:
A security system in a vehicle extends its protection to installed equipment of the vehicle, such as audio components, navigation systems, and entertainment systems. The installed equipment is armed and disarmed by the security system, preventing the equipment from normal functioning after unauthorized removal. The security system further enables programming, monitoring, and diagnosing of the installed equipment through the security system's remote control, through a configuration and maintenance tool that connects to the security system, or through other items of installed equipment within the vehicle, such as a rear-seat entertainment system.

Abstract:
A light fixture can include a light housing and a light cartridge. The light cartridge can be configured to releasably and/or electrically connect to a portion of the light housing. In some embodiments, the light cartridge includes a collar movably connected to the cartridge and configured to rotate with respect to the cartridge. Rotation of the collar can facilitate attachment and/or release of the cartridge from the light housing. In some cases, the cartridge includes a releasable driver, one or more lenses, one or more beam reflectors, one or more diffusers, and/or other electrical and optical components.
