Low Magnitude Current Sensor Using Unbalanced Flux Line Detection

View page
US Patent:
6710587, Mar 23, 2004
Filed:
Oct 11, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/269384
Inventors:
Aaron L. Reynoso - San Jose CA
Zhe Wu - San Jose CA
Assignee:
Solidone USA Corporation - Sunnyvale CA
International Classification:
G01R 3300
US Classification:
324117R, 324117 H, 3241581
Abstract:
A low current detector using magnetoresistive sensor is used in a ground fault detector that opens a current carrying circuit when an unbalanced or dangerous condition occurs in the circuit. The current circuit has windings wrapped around a toroidal member of magnetic material having a cross sectional gap. First magnetic flux lines induced in the toroidal member by the circuit project from the gap toward a permanent magnet having second emergent magnetic flux lines that bend the first flux lines in a flux line mesh zone when an unbalanced current exists in the current carrying circuit. The flux lines are non-existent in the gap of the toroidal member when the circuit is in a balanced or non-fault state. A magnetoresistive sensor is disposed in the mesh zone in a position producing a signal indicative of an unbalanced condition caused by a current fault. A circuit breaker, connected to flux sensor responds to the signal indicating an unbalanced condition by opening the circuit.

Achieving Web Documents Using Unique Document Locators

View page
US Patent:
7689601, Mar 30, 2010
Filed:
May 6, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/839938
Inventors:
Zhe Wu - Nashua NH, US
Assignee:
Oracle International Corporation - Redwood Shores CA
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
707204
Abstract:
A repository server that makes stored copies of Web-accessible documents available at times when the documents themselves are inaccessible via the Web, because the server the document is located on is unavailable, because the server has removed or renamed the document, or because the server has replaced the version of which the stored copy is a copy with a different version. A client of the repository server may register a document in the repository server. The repository server makes a copy of the registered document and returns a repository URL for the copy to the client. The repository URL may be used to fetch the copy from the repository URL. Registration further relates the stored copy to its document URL, to an identifier for the stored copy, to a fingerprint that is a condensed representation of the stored copy's content and to a set of stored copies having similar content.

Representing And Manipulating Rdf Data In A Relational Database Management System

View page
US Patent:
8078646, Dec 13, 2011
Filed:
Aug 8, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/188927
Inventors:
Souripriya Das - Nashua NH, US
Eugene Inseok Chong - Concord MA, US
Zhe Wu - Westford MA, US
Melliyal Annamalai - Nashua NH, US
Jagannathan Srinivasan - Nashua NH, US
Assignee:
Oracle International Corporation - Redwood Shores CA
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
707802, 707693, 707796, 707E17005, 707E17045
Abstract:
Techniques for generating hash values for instances of distinct data values. In the techniques, each distinct data value is mapped to hash value generation information which describes how to generate a unique hash value for instances of the distinct data value. The hash value generation information for a distinct data value is then used to generate the hash value for an instance of the distinct data value. The hash value generation information may indicate whether a collision has occurred in generating the hash values for instances of the distinct data values and if so, how the collision is to be resolved. The techniques are employed to normalize RDF triples by generating the UIDS employed in the normalization from the triples' lexical values.

Incremental Inference

View page
US Patent:
8250106, Aug 21, 2012
Filed:
Nov 18, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/620857
Inventors:
Vladimir Kolovski - Nashua NH, US
Zhe Wu - Westford MA, US
Assignee:
Oracle International Corporation - Redwood Shores CA
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
707794
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with incremental inference are described. One example method includes updating existing or old triples in a semantic model with triples resulting from the addition of new triples. The updating is performed by separating inference rules into joining steps that are performed on first and second predicates for the inference rule. A first joining step joins results of execution of the first predicate on the new triples with the results of execution the second predicate on the union of the old and new triples to produce newly inferred triples. A second joining step joins results of execution of the first predicate on the union of the old and new triples with the results of execution the second predicate on the new triples to produce newly inferred triples.

Database-Based Inference Engine For Rdfs/Owl Constructs

View page
US Patent:
8401991, Mar 19, 2013
Filed:
Aug 8, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/188267
Inventors:
Zhe Wu - Westford MA, US
George Eadon - Hollis NH, US
Souripriya Das - Nashua NH, US
Eugene Inseok Chong - Concord MA, US
Vladimir Kolovski - Nashua NH, US
Melliyal Annamalai - Nashua NH, US
Jagannathan Srinivasan - Nashua NH, US
Assignee:
Oracle International Corporation - Redwood Shores CA
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
707602, 707603
Abstract:
An un-indexed, partitioned temporary table and an exchange table are used in the inferencing of semantic data in a relational database system. The exchange table has the same structure as a semantic data table storing the semantic data. In the inferencing process, a new partition is created in the semantic data table. Inference rules are executed on the semantic data table, and any newly inferred semantic data generated is added to the temporary table. Once no new data is generated, the inferred semantic data is copied from the temporary table into the exchange table. Indexes that are the same as indexes for the semantic data table are built for the exchange table. The indexed data in the exchange table is then exchanged into the new partition in the semantic data table. By use of the un-indexed, partitioned temporary table, incremental maintenance of indexes is avoided, thus allowing for greater efficiency.

Hybrid Approach For Equivalence Reasoning

View page
US Patent:
8583589, Nov 12, 2013
Filed:
Oct 6, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/573899
Inventors:
Vladimir Kolovski - Nashua NH, US
Zhe Wu - Westford MA, US
George Eadon - Hollis NH, US
Assignee:
Oracle International Corporation - Redwood Shores CA
International Classification:
G06N 7/00
US Classification:
706 55, 707600
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with equivalence reasoning are described. One example method includes constructing a clique map that maps groups of equivalent resources to a representative canonical resource. The clique map is constructed by iteratively inputting batches of equivalence pairs from a semantic model to operating memory and building, in operating memory, one or more cliques for the input batch. Cliques for various input batches of equivalence pairs are merged in memory to produce the clique map for use by the semantic model. Triples associated with the semantic model may be consolidated by replacing resources that are in a clique with their corresponding representative canonical resource.

Solenoid Energy Control Method And A Multi-Stage Over-Current Protector

View page
US Patent:
20040075963, Apr 22, 2004
Filed:
Oct 18, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/273757
Inventors:
Zhongdu Liu - Fremont CA, US
Zhe Wu - San Jose CA, US
Lloyd Ebisu - Cupertino CA, US
Assignee:
SOLIDONE USA Corp.
International Classification:
H02H003/00
US Classification:
361/042000
Abstract:
This is an innovative Over-Current Protection device that uses a unique method of controlling the energy to a compact tripping solenoid of a mechanical circuit breaker mechanism to cut off power to an electric circuit whenever the load current exceeds a specified level. Unlike previous Over-Current Protection devices, this device also maintains independent levels or stages of over-current protection and is able to distinguish between stages via independent current detection circuits that define the operational characteristics of each over-current stage. The device includes a current sensing transformer, independent current-threshold detectors, time delay circuits and a random phase, energy-accumulating circuit which generates a controlled trigger-pulse to trip the compact tripping solenoid of the mechanical circuit breaker mechanism. This device is also designed to connect directly onto, and operate in conjunction with, an existing GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) module. The method of using an energy control electronic circuit to deliver precisely controlled energy to a compact tripping solenoid may also be implemented for connecting to other kinds of mechanical-electric relays, circuit breakers and power contactors.
