Abstract:
A method, apparatus, article of manufacture, and a memory structure for providing access to an array-based data object to a client is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of receiving a database query from a client; generating a first execution plan from the database query; transmitting at least a portion of the first execution plan to a data server; compiling a query result from the execution of the first execution plan; and transmitting the query result to the client on a first communication path wherein the query result comprises an identification for a master data object responsive to the database query and the master data object comprises an identification for a plurality of array-based objects associated with the master data object. Further, the method comprises the establishment of a second communication path between the data server and the client and the transmission of the master data object to the client via this second communication path. This is followed by a third request by the client for the required array-based objects.

Abstract:
A method of communication is provided, which comprises assigning a first domain name by a server to a first user when the first user logs onto the server using a first device, the first domain name being associated with a first device identifier of the first device and a first user identifier of the first user; and negotiating communication for the first device based on the first domain name despite of the IP address of the first device. Other embodiments are disclosed. By way of the present invention, a secure and convenient resource sharing and access control may be achieved.

High Dynamic Range (Hdr) Image Synthesis With User Input

View page
US Patent:
20120288217, Nov 15, 2012
Filed:
Jan 25, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/574919
Inventors:
Jiefu Zhai - Cupertino CA, US
Zhe Wang - Plainsboro NJ, US
Dong-Qing Zhang - Plainsboro NJ, US
International Classification:
G06T 5/50
US Classification:
382294
Abstract:
A new high dynamic range image synthesis which can handle the local object motion, wherein an interactive graphical user interface is provided for the end user, through which one can specify the source image for separate part of the final high dynamic range image, either by creating a image mask or scribble on the image. The high dynamic range image synthesis includes the following steps: capturing low dynamic range images with different exposures; registering the low dynamic range images; estimating camera response function; converting the low dynamic range images to temporary radiance images using estimated camera response function; and fusing the temporary radiance images into a single high dynamic range (HDR) image by employing a method of layered masking.

Reducing Chromatic Aberration

View page
US Patent:
20120308134, Dec 6, 2012
Filed:
Feb 7, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/576805
Inventors:
Jiefu Zhai - Cupertino CA, US
Zhe Wang - Plainsboro NJ, US
Tao Zhang - Plainsboro NJ, US
Assignee:
THOMSON LICENSING - Issy Les Moulineaux
International Classification:
G06K 9/00
US Classification:
382167
Abstract:
At least one implementation reduces chromatic aberration by aligning pixel in a color channel according to displacement from corresponding pixels in another color channel. In one particular implementation, a feature is calculated for a first block of pixels in a first color channel of an image. The feature is calculated for a second block of pixels in a second color channel of the image. Displacement is estimated between the first color channel and the second color channel by comparing the feature for the first block and the feature for the second block. At least a portion of the first color channel is aligned with at least a portion of the second color channel based on the estimated displacement.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses for efficient tracking and exporting of network flows using custom filters. A network device receives network data and classifies a flow of the network data as belonging to a defined flow group from among a plurality of defined flow groups. A set of rules is identified that correspond to the defined flow group. Flow information is updated for a characteristic of the flow according to the set of rules. The network device determines, based on the flow information, that the flow satisfies a set of criteria involving the characteristic and, as a result of the determination, controls transmission of data associated with the flow.
