US Patent:
20130203277, Aug 8, 2013
Filed:
Feb 7, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/367566
Inventors:
Zachary Gaubert - Dallas TX, US
International Classification:
H01R 13/627
H01R 13/52
US Classification:
439271, 439349
Abstract:
An electrical plug connector is disclosed. The electrical plug connector can include an electrical plug, a plug housing, and a low profile latching feature. The plug housing can be fixedly coupled to the electrical plug with at least a portion of the electrical plug extending from the plug housing to allow the electrical plug to interface with an electrical receptacle to form an electrical connection. The low-profile latching feature can extend outward from the plug housing to engage a mating latching feature associated with the electrical receptacle.

Systems And Methods For Displaying Computer-Generated Images On A Head Mounted Device

View page
US Patent:
20120069046, Mar 22, 2012
Filed:
Sep 22, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/888110
Inventors:
Loren W. Rapoport - Richardson TX, US
Thomas E. Milson - McKinney TX, US
Zachary M. Gaubert - Dallas TX, US
Assignee:
RAYTHEON COMPANY - Waltham MA
International Classification:
G09G 5/02
US Classification:
345592, 345 8
Abstract:
Systems and methods for displaying computer-generated images on a head mounted device are provided. In some embodiments, a system for displaying computer-generated image is provided and may include transparent surface including a coating and a processor. The processor may be configured to receive a computer-generated image, determine the type of computer-generated image, vary a voltage applied to the coating of the transparent surface based on the determined type of computer-generated image, and display the received computer-generated image on the transparent surface.

Remote Temperature Sensing With Enhanced Thermal Coupling In Wearable Electronic Devices

View page
US Patent:
20230093738, Mar 23, 2023
Filed:
Aug 19, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/891838
Inventors:
- Cupertino CA, US
Han Bi - Santa Clara CA, US
Saahil Mehra - Brookline MA, US
Sinan Filiz - San Mateo CA, US
Xinsheng Chu - Saratoga CA, US
Zachary Gaubert - Austin TX, US
International Classification:
G04G 21/02
G04G 17/08
G01K 1/16
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are electronic devices, including wearable electronic devices, and components and configurations thereof, having one or more temperature sensors separated from the point of contact of the electronic device and an object, such as a user, whose temperature is being measured. In some embodiments, the electronic device includes both a temperature sensor and a light (visible, UV, and/or IR) emitter and sensor. Various embodiments are disclosed by which a temperature sensor may be shielded or separated from a light emitter/detector. A spacer may be used to separate the temperature sensor from the device's housing that contacts the object. The spacer may include a thermal path from the housing to the temperature sensor, and may be opaque to the light detected by a light detector.

Multi-Via Structures For Touchscreens

View page
US Patent:
20190102011, Apr 4, 2019
Filed:
Sep 27, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/144911
Inventors:
- Cupertino CA, US
Prithu SHARMA - Cupertino CA, US
Zachary M. GAUBERT - Sunnyvale CA, US
International Classification:
G06F 3/047
G06F 3/041
G06F 3/044
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a touch screen including a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, and a third electrode layer. The touch screen can include shield-sensor vias connecting the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer and shield-shield vias connecting the first electrode layer and the third electrode layer, for example. The shield-sensor vias can be placed in a bond pad region of the touch screen, which can further include connections between one or more routing traces connected to one or more touch electrodes and touch or other circuitry further included in the electronic device. The shield-shield vias can be placed in an outer region located around an inner region of the touch screen. In some examples, one or more routing traces can include diverted portions to maintain a threshold distance between the routing traces and the one or more shield-shield vias.
