Abstract:
Embodiments of a patch panel with tracer are presented herein. In an implementation, an apparatus includes one or more jacks, each being associable with a cable having signal conductors. At least one of the signal conductors is configured to communicate a signal between a respective one of the jacks and an endpoint of the at least one of the signal conductors. The apparatus also includes one or more tracer lights, each being positioned adjacent to a corresponding one of the jacks. The apparatus further includes one or more switches, each being operably associated with a corresponding one of the jacks and selectable to cause another tracer light at the endpoint to illuminate while the at least one of the signal conductors is communicating signals between the respective jack and the endpoint by using one or more of the signal conductors of the cable.

Abstract:
A fiber management apparatus includes a module for managing fibers. In one implementation, the module includes at least two trays. An upper one of the trays is slidable and pivotable relative to a base tray to allow access to fibers managed by the base tray. In another implementation, the module is coupled to a chassis and is pivotable through an angle greater than 90 degrees relative to the chassis. A kit for mounting a chassis includes at least two different sized sets of brackets for mounting the chassis to racks of various different widths. A method of managing fibers includes pulling a module having multiple trays out of a chassis, pulling a first exposed one of the trays outward from the chassis, and lifting the first tray to expose a second one of the trays.

A fiber optic splitter tray system with a tray framework with a front end, a rear end, a first side and a second side; a plurality of fiber optic splitters mounted generally transverse to the tray framework, toward the rear end of the tray framework; a plurality of fiber optic adapters mounted generally longitudinally to the framework, the adapters being recessed from the front end of the framework such that fiber optic cables operatively attached to the adapters may be housed within the front end while maintaining a predetermined minimum bend radius in the cables. This may further include a front cable guard movably attached to the tray framework proximate the front end such that the guard is movable vertically downward from a guarding position to a downward position when the tray framework is in an outward position, and further wherein the guard is slidable rearward from the downward position to a downward retracted position.

Techniques and constructs for media composition using aggregate overlay layers. For instance, a media compositor receives a media source and at least two media overlays, where each of the at least two media overlays are to be composed with the media source. The media compositor then generates an output media composition by adding each of the at least two media overlays to the media source in a single processing step. In some examples, the media compositor adds the at least two media overlays to the media source using a preconfigured compositor. Abstract:
To improve feature selection accuracy during a visual search, interest points within a query image are two-way matched to features in an affine transformed image or otherwise transformed version of the query image. A user device implements a method for selecting local descriptors in the visual search. The method includes: detecting a first set of interest points for the original image; computing an affine transform matrix; computing a new image as a transformation of the original image using the affine transform matrix; detecting a second set of interest points from the and new image; performing a two-way matching between the first set of interest points and the second set of interest points; sorting matching pairs according to a specified self-matching score (SMS); assigning an infinite value to SMS of unmatched interest points from the original image; selecting the interest points based on SMS. Significant performance gains reduce false positive matches.
