Method Of Making A Transformer Core Comprising Strips Of Amorphous Steel Wrapped Around The Core Window

View page
US Patent:
52301397, Jul 27, 1993
Filed:
Sep 18, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/761456
Inventors:
Willi Klappert - Hickory NC
William K. Houser - Greeneville TN
Assignee:
General Electric Company - Malvern PA
International Classification:
H01F 4102
US Classification:
295646
Abstract:
Groups of amorphous steel strips, cut to appropriate length from a composite strip, are stacked in longitudinally-staggered relationship to form packets. The groups are made up by apparatus preforming a process that comprises a pre-spooling operation that results in the strips and groups in each packet adhering together, even though dry. The individual packets are fed successively into a belt nester that includes a rotatable arbor and wrapping means that wraps the packets in superposed relationship about the arbor as the arbor rotates, thereby building up a hollow core form. The above-described adhesive effect precludes the strips and groups from shifting longitudinally while the packets are being wrapped about the arbor.

View page
US Patent:
20220298860, Sep 22, 2022
Filed:
Mar 17, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/697229
Inventors:
William Clifford HOUSER - Stanley NC, US
International Classification:
E06B 11/02
E05F 15/53
Abstract:
A swing gate mechanism to swing open an overhead lift gate system includes an overhead swing gate. The overhead swing gate has a pivot side and a catch side. A first gate power arm is configured to move along a first overhead guide track on a first side of the overhead lift gate system. A second gate power arm is configured to move along a second overhead guide track on a second side of the overhead lift gate system. At least one hinge is connected between the pivot side of the overhead swing gate and the first gate power arm. The at least one hinge is configured to allow the overhead swing gate to swing open by rotating about the first gate power arm.

US Patent:
20160312512, Oct 27, 2016
Filed:
Apr 24, 2015
Appl. No.:
14/695853
Inventors:
William Clifford Houser - Stanley NC, US
International Classification:
E05F 15/59
E05F 15/668
E05D 13/00
E05D 15/38
Abstract:
A lift gate system includes a gate, a first pole, a second pole, a header and an internal operator. The first pole is configured to attach to the ground on one side of the gate and includes a first track attached approximate to a first top. The second pole is configured to attach to the ground on the opposite side of the gate from the first pole and includes a second track attached approximate to a second top. The header interconnects the first top with the second top. The internal operator is configured for lifting the gate, where the internal operator is inside the first pole, the second pole, and/or the header.
