Apparatus And Method Of Use And Doing Business For Compiling And Communicating Statistics

View page
US Patent:
20020015060, Feb 7, 2002
Filed:
Jun 19, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/885756
Inventors:
William Honjas - Reno NV, US
International Classification:
G09G005/00
G09G005/00
US Classification:
345/748000
Abstract:
The present specification discloses a method and apparatus for a web-centric statistics service and related hardware sales activities, most preferably for use in connection with collection, compilation, analysis, display, and communication of sports statistics. The apparatus includes a dedicated hand-held computing PDA apparatus with modular, removable, activity-dedicated statistics program cartridges, modular, removable save cartridges, an RF transceiver, a modem, and other communication ports. The hand-held computing apparatus can communicate with other such apparatus and with PCs and input/output devices, and the hand-held computing apparatus and other PCs running compatible programs can upload statistics and multimedia to a centralized statistics web site provided by the service operator. The centralized web-site provides dedicated web pages for each user of the statistics program cartridges who registers with the site, and provides a vehicle for third parties to use conventional web browsers to view statistics and other multimedia uploaded to the centralized web site by users. The centralized web-site also may provide advertising and e-commerce services to users and multimedia culling services in order to generate web-casts or other broadcasts or distribution of the multimedia uploaded to the site.

Optimization Apparatus, System, And Method Of Use And Doing Business

View page
US Patent:
20020082811, Jun 27, 2002
Filed:
Mar 16, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/811071
Inventors:
William Honjas - Reno NV, US
Satish Pullammanappallil - Reno NV, US
Sushil Louis - Reno NV, US
International Classification:
G06F017/10
US Classification:
703/002000
Abstract:
This specification discloses an optimization system that uses a plug-in optimizer, such as a Genetic Algorithm and Simulated Annealing optimization algorithm. The optimization system may be run from a GUI, including remotely from a centralized computing cluster or other server. The optimization can be Internet-based, and may include O-cubed processing and multiple model averaging, providing enhanced robustness. The optimization GUI also provides multiple views of data output files, such as Pickfiles, Hitfiles, and velocity model files in seismic applications. The optimization system also provides the ability to analyze and constrain particular areas of the optimization model as well as alter the location of date recording devices to analyze the impact of such alteration on date procurement or the optimization model. A fee-for-service-based optimization business model and others can be provided with the disclosed systems and methods.

Waste Heat Gathering And Transfer System And Method

View page
US Patent:
20230016813, Jan 19, 2023
Filed:
Sep 21, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/934096
Inventors:
- Griswold CT, US
William Honjas - Reno NV, US
International Classification:
F02C 1/04
F02C 6/14
H01L 35/30
Abstract:
A waste heat gathering and transfer system and method that, in certain embodiments, includes a collector for collecting at least a portion of waste heat dissipating from one or more waste heat sources, such as equipment surfaces and flames, a heat-to-electricity converter; and an electricity-to-grid transfer interface. In some instances, the system and method also include an electric-to-grid optimizer. In some embodiments, the heat-to-electricity converter is a semiconductor-based converter. In other embodiments, the heat-to-electricity converter is an organic rankine cycle. In some instances, the heat collector includes an external collector layer with an inner and outer surface, an internal collector layer with an internal and external surface, an interior gap area between the external collector layer inner surface and the internal collector layer internal surface, an insulating material, a heat collecting component, and a heat transfer component.
