FIGURE SKATING COACHING BIO: Outside of her professional career, Virginia has a lifetime of figure skating training & coaching. During her early years, Virginia’s training included trampoline and on-ice harness training to aid in her figure skating development. Virginia trained at the Gloucester Ontario Ice Arena Sports Complex in Canada, where she accomplished her first two ice dances. Virginia also skated in the Campbell’s Star on Ice show. Prior to attending university, she completed in Canberra, Australia. Virginia began her skating coaching career in Berlin, Germany. After university graduation in Arizona, Virginia became a Learn to Skate Instructor at Tempe’s Oceanside Arena & later she joined the coaching staff at Chandler Polar Ice. She judged at several compitions & attended coaching workshops. During her twenty years of coaching, Virginia is most proud of her volunteer coaching for the Special Olympics.
