System And Method For Synchronized Control Of A Harvester And Transport Vehicle

View page
US Patent:
20120215381, Aug 23, 2012
Filed:
Jun 29, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/171620
Inventors:
Guoping WANG - Naperville IL, US
Todd Aznavorian - Naperville IL, US
Arun Natarajan - Naperville IL, US
Kousha Moaveni Nejad - Chicago IL, US
International Classification:
G06F 7/00
US Classification:
701 2, 701 1
Abstract:
A control system and method is provided for synchronized control of a harvester and transport vehicle during unload on the go operation. The control system can maintain a desired lateral distance between the harvester and transport vehicle using swath information that is used to steer the harvester. In addition, the control system can also bring a transport vehicle into appropriate alignment with the harvester using the same swath information.

US Patent:
20120215394, Aug 23, 2012
Filed:
Sep 30, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/249884
Inventors:
Guoping Wang - Naperville IL, US
Christopher A. Foster - Denver PA, US
Riccardo Morselli - San Vito Di Spilamberto, IT
Olivier Vanhercke - Gistel, BE
Todd Aznavorian - Naperville IL, US
Arun Natarajan - Naperville IL, US
International Classification:
G05D 1/02
G06F 19/00
US Classification:
701 24, 701 23, 701 50
Abstract:
A control system and method is provided to control a longitudinal position of a transport vehicle relative to a harvester during an unload on the go operation and to control both the lateral position and the longitudinal position of a transport vehicle relative to a harvester during an unload on the go operation to evenly fill a receiving area of the transport vehicle with crop material from the harvester. The longitudinal position of the transport vehicle is maintained within an acceptable range by adjusting the velocity of the transport vehicle. The receiving area of the transport vehicle can be more evenly filled with crop material by adjusting the lateral position and the longitudinal position of the transport vehicle within predetermined trim distances associated with the receiving area of the transport vehicle.

System And Method For Automatic Guidance Control Of A Vehicle

View page
US Patent:
20120215395, Aug 23, 2012
Filed:
Aug 25, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/217758
Inventors:
Todd S. AZNAVORIAN - Naperville IL, US
William L. SCHUBERT - Downers Grove IL, US
International Classification:
G05D 1/02
US Classification:
701 25
Abstract:
A system and method is provided for adaptive control of at least one parameter of an auto guidance control algorithm for a vehicle. The parameters may be varied according to a previously established look up table, or automatically adapted through the use of control logic, such as a “fuzzy logic” algorithm. The control parameters that can be adaptively controlled include steered wheel turn rate, proportional valve current gain, line acquisition rate and/or auto guidance control valve current limits. The control algorithm responds to the vehicle's operating parameters such as vehicle speed, tracking error, predicted heading, and hydraulic oil temperature to make adjustments to the auto guidance control parameters.

Support Vehicle For An Agricultural System

View page
US Patent:
20200324985, Oct 15, 2020
Filed:
May 19, 2017
Appl. No.:
16/303525
Inventors:
- New Holland PA, US
Todd Sarkis Aznavorian - Chagrin Falls OH, US
Tyson J. Dollinger - Mazon IL, US
Christopher Alan Foster - Mohnton PA, US
Brian Robert Ray - Chicago IL, US
Adam Robert Rusciolelli - Chicago IL, US
Nadav Y Daniel - Deerfield IL, US
International Classification:
B65G 67/24
Abstract:
A system for refilling a resource of an agricultural system includes the agricultural system including a tank that stores the resource. The system also includes a support vehicle including a container that stores the resource, a locating system that outputs a first signal indicative of a position of the support vehicle, a transfer system that includes a resource transfer device, and a controller communicatively coupled to the locating system and the transfer system including a processor and a memory. The controller determines a target location in a field to position the support vehicle, control the support vehicle such that the support vehicle is directed toward the target location, and instruct the transfer system to activate the resource transfer device to transfer the resource from the container to the tank while the position of the agricultural system is within a threshold distance of the target location.

Method Of Roll Calibration For A Work Vehicle

View page
US Patent:
20180164126, Jun 14, 2018
Filed:
Dec 12, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/375957
Inventors:
- New Holland PA, US
Todd S. Aznavorian - Naperville IL, US
Assignee:
CNH Industrial America LLC - New Holland PA
International Classification:
G01C 25/00
Abstract:
A method of calibrating a roll angle associated with a work vehicle includes the steps of: positioning the vehicle on a substantially level surface in a first direction; taking a first calibration reading, by using an inertial measurement unit (IMU) to measure a roll of the vehicle while the vehicle is in a first of a sequence of calibration maneuvers in the first direction; positioning the vehicle on the substantially level surface in a second direction, generally opposite the first direction; taking a second calibration reading, by using the IMU to measure a roll of the vehicle while the vehicle is in a second of the sequence of calibration maneuvers in the second direction; and reconciling the first calibration reading and the second calibration reading to determine a calibrated roll angle of the vehicle.

Assignee:
CNH INDUSTRIAL AMERICA LLC - New Holland PA
International Classification:
A01D 41/127
A01F 7/02
A01F 12/44
A01D 41/12
Abstract:
An agricultural harvester for harvesting crop material and generating residue for distribution by a spreader. A pair of deflectors are moveable by actuators to direct residue between a right limit and a left limit. An initial selection deflection selection is made and a control system compares the accurate actual heading of the agricultural harvester to the initial selection for controlling the residue pattern in accordance with prevailing winds.
