Filed:
Oct 4, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/897600
Inventors:
Tod Boretto - San Diego CA, US
Chris Rodewald - San Diego CA, US
Robert Park - San Diego CA, US
International Classification:
G06F 1/32
G06F 1/28
US Classification:
700291, 700297
Abstract:
An energy management system and method can include functions such as monitoring a status of the electrical energy storage device; receiving a first demand from a first power load for electrical power, and determining whether to supply the electrical power to satisfy the first demand from the electrical energy storage device or from one or more power sources connected to the energy management system. The determining can include applying an algorithm to determine a power provision arrangement based on at least one preset criteria. The algorithm can have data input that includes the status of the electrical energy storage device, one or more load characteristics of the first power load and any other loads supplied with electrical power from the energy management system, and one or more source characteristics of each of the one or more power sources. Electrical power can be supplied to the first power load in satisfaction of the first demand and in accordance with the determined power provision arrangement.

Disabling Of Services On A Communication Device

View page
US Patent:
20110092159, Apr 21, 2011
Filed:
Oct 15, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/905942
Inventors:
Robert Park - Poway CA, US
Chris Rodewald - San Diego CA, US
Tod D. Boretto - Poway CA, US
Joel Hartley - Solana Beach CA, US
Assignee:
CellShield, Inc. - Encintas CA
International Classification:
H04B 7/00
US Classification:
455 412
Abstract:
A method, a system, and a computer program product for operating a communication device. A location information of a communication device is received. Based on the location information of the communication device, it is determined whether the communication device and another communication device are co-located. Based on the determination, operation of the communication device is controlled.

Wide-Body Arrow Having Tapered Tail

View page
US Patent:
20120115655, May 10, 2012
Filed:
Nov 10, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/943870
Inventors:
MARTIN T. CONNOLLY - SAN DIEGO CA, US
TOD BORETTO - SAN DIEGO CA, US
International Classification:
A63B 65/02
B32B 38/10
B32B 37/14
B32B 37/02
B32B 37/12
US Classification:
473578, 156184
Abstract:
A cylindrical carbon fiber arrow shaft formed with an increased external diameter of 0.380 inches. This arrow shaft is formed with an axial bore which has a first internal diameter throughout a substantial portion of the shaft length, and a second, smaller, internal diameter throughout the fletching end of the arrow. The second internal diameter corresponds to the internal diameter of standard arrows having external diameters of 0.295 inches. Using this standard internal diameter at the fletching-end of the arrow, standard nocks may be used without the need for any spacer or insert, thereby decreasing fletching-end weight significantly and providing for the proper and more desired location of the center of gravity forward on the arrow.

Small Diameter Crossbow Bolt

View page
US Patent:
20140031153, Jan 30, 2014
Filed:
Jan 11, 2013
Appl. No.:
13/740154
Inventors:
TOD DOUGLAS BORETTO - Poway CA, US
International Classification:
F42B 6/04
US Classification:
473586
Abstract:
A small diameter crossbow bolt includes a small diameter shaft having a leading end with an insert to receive a point. The trailing end of shaft has a nock and adjacent fletching. The insert receives a point, such as a target point, broad head, or other point known in the industry. A circumferential spacer is positioned along the shaft between the insert and nock and moved along the shaft as needed to locate the insert for a particular weight distribution, center of gravity positioning, or to separate the spacer from nock. The insert, nock, and spacer each have a diameter substantially equal to the diameter of a prior art bolt. When the diameters of the nock and spacer are equal to the diameter of a prior art bolt, the small diameter crossbow bolt of the present invention can be used interchangeably with prior art bolts without modification to the crossbow.

Rotatable Swing Arm Stabilizer Assembly For Folding Wheelchairs

View page
US Patent:
20170020753, Jan 26, 2017
Filed:
Mar 7, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/063440
Inventors:
Tod Douglas Boretto - San Marcos CA, US
Martin Connolly - San Marcos CA, US
International Classification:
A61G 5/08
B60G 7/00
Abstract:
A swing arm assembly for a foldable wheelchair consisting of a camber tube and adapters is disclosed. The adapters mount to the frame of the wheelchair and receive the ends of the camber tube. One end of the camber tube is pinned into an adapter such that it pivots. The other end is pinned in an adapter using a quick release pin. The camber tube improves the stability of the foldable wheelchair. When desired to fold the wheelchair, the quick release pin is removed and the camber tube is rotated approximately 90 degrees, thereby allowing the wheelchair to fold. The adapters may be mounted to the wheelchair frame or to stub axles if used. The swing arm assembly adds substantial stiffness and stability to a folding wheelchair.
