Janet L. Fall - Tiburon CA, US
Lisa M. Frolich - Larkspur CA, US
Douglas M. Frolich - Larkspur CA, US
Assignee:
Chefs Originals LLC - Tiburon CA
International Classification:
B65D 25/10
A47J 45/07
B25G 1/10
US Classification:
220753, 220755, 220757, 2205731, 16425, 16430
Abstract:
A removable, insulated hand grip device for use with a closed loop lid handle includes a body formed of a flexible, compressible and low thermal conductivity material adapted to fill the first distance between the hand grip portion and the top surface of the lid, a lid handle engaging portion including a concave surface adapted to enclose at least partially the hand grip portion of the lid handle, a base portion including a surface adapted to engage the top surface of the lid under the hand grip portion, a finger grip portion including a concave surface formed on each longitudinal sides of the body adapted to receive the fingers of a user's hand. The body is removably attached to the lid handle and is secured between the bottom surface of the hand grip portion and the top surface of the lid by compression force.

Precedence Adjusted Resource Allocation

View page
US Patent:
8239534, Aug 7, 2012
Filed:
Jul 14, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/619025
Inventors:
Thomas C. Fall - Los Gatos CA, US
Roger P. Chase - Columbus OH, US
Assignee:
Lockheed Martin Corporation - Bethesda MD
International Classification:
G06F 15/16
US Classification:
709226, 709240, 709238, 709235, 709227, 709231, 370235, 370232, 370230, 370229, 370468
Abstract:
Methods that perform message and real-time data and computational flow routing across networks comprised elements with a dynamic time-varying network topology and loading. The unique algorithms and protocols for allocation of network resources embodied in the present methods provide optimal performance for high precedence traffic while providing as good as possible performance for lower precedence traffic.

Precedence-Based Routing/Re-Routing

View page
US Patent:
8406127, Mar 26, 2013
Filed:
Oct 9, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/973135
Inventors:
Thomas C. Fall - Los Gatos CA, US
Roger P. Chase - Columbus OH, US
Assignee:
Lockheed Martin Corporation - Bethesda MD
International Classification:
G01R 31/28
US Classification:
370223, 370216, 370242
Abstract:
Precedence-based routing/rerouting algorithms or methods that work proactively and locally at each network node that engenders a collective restoral behavior that is uniquely rapid and anticipatory. The algorithms or methods are combined in a novel way with user precedence arbitration to provide superior performance in wireless dynamic ad hoc networks.

Cyber Auto Tactics Techniques And Procedures Multiple Hypothesis Engine

View page
US Patent:
8583583, Nov 12, 2013
Filed:
Sep 16, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/807901
Inventors:
Gregory L. Stachnick - Cupertino CA, US
Thomas C. Fall - Los Gatos CA, US
David A. Cameron - San Jose CA, US
Assignee:
Lockheed Martin Corporation - Bethesda MD
International Classification:
G06N 7/02
US Classification:
706 52
Abstract:
Disclosed is an exemplary multiple hypothesis engine that provides situation assessment capabilities regarding cyber auto tactics techniques and procedures. Dynamic cyber adversarial operations are evaluated via a combination of techniques using a Bayesian multiple hypothesis tree, or graph, as a framework. A top-down probability propagation mechanism solves different aspects of the problem in a round-robin fashion. The top-down probability propagation mechanism comprises the Hypothesis Refinement Engine. A model-based abductive reasoner comprising The Hypothesis Validator is used to confirm or refute the refined hypothesis. A model-based learning engine comprising Behavior Model Trainer is used to incrementally augment the knowledge base of behavior models as new adversarial TTPs are discovered. These three techniques behave in a cooperative manner by operating upon the Bayesian multiple hypothesis tree framework.

Sampling Method For Use With Bursty Communication Channels

View page
US Patent:
20020199153, Dec 26, 2002
Filed:
Jun 22, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/887888
Inventors:
Thomas Fall - Los Gatos CA, US
International Classification:
H03M013/00
US Classification:
714/781000
Abstract:
An error correction method wherein an incoming data stream is divided into symbols. The divided data stream is sampled in threads, with samples taken at fixed time intervals. The fixed time intervals are slightly longer than the time interval of the bursts of data. A correction symbol is thus mixed with symbols of the divided data stream that have a fixed time separation. This generates an error corrected data stream. In a second embodiment, the same correction symbol is inserted in more than one thread. The threads are selected so that they partially overlap. Thus, a noise burst on the channel that overwhelms one of the threads will be within the limits of another one of the threads. The symbols that overlap may be determined using the overlapping symbols of the threads that are not overwhelmed, thus allowing the remainder of the non-overlapped threads to be determined.

All Optical Time Division Multiplexer And Packet Switch Using Optical Codewords And Optically Actuated Optical Switches

View page
US Patent:
7260329, Aug 21, 2007
Filed:
Sep 1, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/932223
Inventors:
Thomas C. Fall - Los Gatos CA, US
Ralph Spickermann - Redwood City CA, US
Daniel A. Tauber - Palo Alto CA, US
Assignee:
Lockheed Martin Corporation - Bethesda MD
International Classification:
H04J 14/08
H04J 14/00
H04B 10/04
US Classification:
398102, 398 52, 398 98, 398182
Abstract:
Optical apparatus that uses optically-actuated optical switches in conjunction with an optical codeword addressing scheme to provide for time division multiplexing and demultiplexing of high data rate optical data. Optical codewords traveling simultaneously with the data on a separate wavelength, in conjunction with the optical switches, enable all-optical multiplexing and demultiplexing. The present invention can also switch packets of data while keeping the data entirely in the optical domain, and no optical to electrical conversions are necessary.
