Description:
Susan has owned multiple types of homes herself, and understands them all: single family, condos, cooperatives, townhomes. She has served many years as a condominium and co-op board member and officer, bringing additional expertise to the condo and co-op arena. Susan has lived in Chicago and its northern suburbs, and appreciates the wide variety of neighborhoods that the Chicagoland real estate market has to offer. Each client receives unparalleled service and support, whether they are buying or selling a home. Susan helps the client assemble a complete real estate "team" to work towards the client's goals: the best attorneys, inspectors, lenders, title insurers, and more. In assisting a seller, Susan has consistently suggested the right pricing to get a property sold quickly, and at the optimum market value. While working with a buyer, Susan has always found the path to negotiate the very best price and terms on behalf of that buyer. In both cases, research into the market and the participants in the transaction are key to the client's success; this is an area in which Susan excels! Relocating is an additional challenge when selling and buying a home. Susan's sensitivity to the many stressors during this challenging time bring comfort to the client. New to this area? Susan will guide the client through the confusing array of neighborhoods and communities from which to choose, and help the client settle in after the closing with recommendations on everyday necessities: restaurants, post office locations, dry cleaners, even the best taxi company. Selling the Chicagoland home? Susan works closely with the relocation coordinator to ensure compliance with your restrictions and deadlines. Bottom line, Susan cares, and does whatever it takes to get the job done. Many satisfied clients are happy to recount their real estate experience with Susan. Nothing beats an honest recommendation!

About:
My small town upbringing did not prepare me for the culture shock of America's large cities. Yet, I have managed to live in several of them: Washington D.C., Miami, Orlando, and now Chicago area. Having been in Chicago and its suburbs since 1985, I can't imagine living anywhere else. Chicago is such a vibrant city with such incredible diverse neighborhoods and activities, that it is virtually impossible to be at a loss for something new to explore. Within all those neighborhoods and suburbs are the dwellings that my clients need to sell, or buy. The joy of this business is finding the path that will lead the client to the goal, in an efficient and painless (if that is ever possible!) way. I view every client's goal as a mission that I am responsible to conclude successfully. Any number of my clients can tell a story about the extra mile I had walked (or driven as the case may be) on their behalf. And that is when I am having the most enjoyable time in this business: going beyond what is expected. Example: I noticed a city building inspector walking the grounds of a property that my buyer client was due to close on in one week's time. I inquired at the city offices, learned there were multiple citations being issued to the owner (who was no longer living at the subject property), took that information to my client's attorney, who immediately. resolved the dangerous situation that would otherwise have put my client on the line for the building violations along with fines for non-compliance. I believe my greatest strength is really listening and hearing what my clients are trying to say, even when they don't understand it themselves. Example: "We know we want to live in Libertyville!" I said, "Humor me; look at these listings in Barrington." Those clients fell in love with the cottage in Barrington, bought it, moved in, got a puppy, and are so excited about their new chapter in life. Perhaps my second greatest strength is informing the seller client about his property and the significant issues surrounding his sale, information that the seller needs to make wise decisions in the selling process. Example: presenting a market analysis of the seller's property that had been lived in for 50 years, but never updated. I spent hours studying the surrounding neighborhood, its history, and several years of comparable sales data to learn the best price to suggest to the seller for marketing the home. Not only did it sell in one week, it sold in a bidding war for more than list price. The buyer was very excited to acquire the house and went on to effect a wonderful renovation of all 4 levels. My client was delighted to sell the home such a handsome sum of money, despite its condition. My work is supported by Baird & Warner, a family-owned business, operating in Chicagoland since 1855. As a privately held company, B&W is flexible, innovative, a believer in the best technologies to support its agents and their clients. I choose to hang my real estate license at B&W because it is a company with morals and conviction, a company whose former CEO lead the challenge to unfair housing conditions in our area, a company that maintains a permanent charitable function called "The Goodwill Network" to support local deserving charities chosen by each branch office. I enjoy being part of Baird & Warner, and I look forward to meeting every new customer who understands and appreciates what Baird & Warner and I have to offer, and who will turn into a satisfied client. Whether it's Chicago's North Shore, anywhere in the City of Chicago, the northwest suburbs, the western suburbus, I stand ready to serve your needs.
