Abstract:
An information handling system to wirelessly transmit and receive data at an antenna may include a processor; a memory; a power management unit; a display housing containing components of the information handling system, the display housing including metal sidewalls formed along edges of a back metal chassis of the display housing and generally perpendicular to the back metal chassis; an antenna formed into a first sidewall of the display housing and nested into the first sidewall with a molded plastic keep-out structure to, upon execution of the processor, create radiating radio frequency (RF) bands from the antenna; the antenna operatively coupled to a feed excitation trace to transmit an excitation current to the antenna from a wireless interface adapter; and the plastic molded keep-out structure integrated along the sidewall to secure the antenna to the first sidewall.

An information handling system includes a processor, a memory, and a wireless interface adapter for transceiving wireless communications via radiofrequency (RF) waves, a plurality of antennas operatively coupled to the wireless interface adapter, including a first antenna operatively coupled to a first wireless protocol subsystem, a second antenna operatively coupled to a second wireless protocol subsystem, and a shared antenna, an RF switch configured to operatively switch the shared antenna between the first wireless protocol subsystem and the second wireless protocol subsystem, and an antenna controller operatively coupled to the RF switch to receive status information of the status of the first wireless protocol subsystem to determine assignment of the shared antenna, and to switch the RF switch to operatively couple the shared antenna to the first wireless protocol subsystem when it is determined to be active.

An information handling system to wirelessly transmit and receive data may include a base chassis including a processor, a memory, and a wireless adapter; a metal C-cover of the base chassis to house a speaker grill, the speaker grill covering a speaker to emit audio waves; the speaker grill formed within the C-cover, the speaker grill including a slot formed around a portion of a perimeter of the speaker grill that physically separates the portion of the speaker grill as a peninsula in the C-cover; a millimeter wave antenna element coupled to a back side of the speaker grill; and a sub-6 GHz antenna element to transmit via the slot formed around the perimeter of the speaker grill; wherein the speaker grill has a mesh pattern of grill openings sized to be transparent to millimeter wave frequencies emitted by the millimeter wave antenna element.

Abstract:
An information handling system of a management and orchestration module (MANO) may comprise a processor configured to determine user equipment device (UE) connectivity requirements from UE connectivity metrics received from a first UE, for a plurality of UEs managed by the MANO, enterprise profile requirements for the UEs, and detected network conditions of radio access networks (RANs) and cores of an enterprise mobile network. The MANO may also generate an optimal wireless link distribution across the UEs based on the UE connectivity requirements, enterprise profile requirements, and network conditions of the RANs and cores, and determine an antenna configuration adjustment for the first UE, instructing selection of a wireless link via an antenna, selected to meet the UE connectivity requirement relative to wireless links assigned to the other UEs according to the optimal wireless link distribution. A network interface device may transmit the antenna configuration adjustment to the first UE.

A network interface device may transmit the wireless link configuration adjustment to the first UE.
