US Classification:
508151
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a lubricating oil composition comprising a lubricating oil basestock, a boron-containing additive of at least 0.1 weight percent of the composition and less than 8.0 weight percent, and ashless sulfur additive of at least 0.1 weight percent of the composition and less than 4.0 weight percent, a dispersant-detergent-inhibitor system of less than 15 percent weight percent of the composition, a zinc dithiophosphate additive of at least 0.2 weight percent of the composition and less than 2.0 weight percent of the composition. The elements in the formulated oil composition having at least 100 and less than 630 PPM phosphorus, at least 1,000 PPM and less than 3,000 PPM, at least 100 and less than 630 ppm Phosphorous, and at least 105 PPM and less than 710 PPM zinc. In a second embodiment, an additive composition for lubricating oils is disclosed. In a third embodiment, a method to obtain favorable lubricating properties is disclosed.

Tamperproof Locking And Latching Mechanism For Rotatable Controls

View page
US Patent:
57091129, Jan 20, 1998
Filed:
Dec 28, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/580527
Inventors:
Steven Kennedy - Williamstown NJ
International Classification:
F16K 3506
US Classification:
70177
Abstract:
An improved spring-loaded latching and locking mechanism for a rotatable control of the type having a stem journaled in a body and rotatable about an axis in a boss on the body. The stem has a protuberance for engagement with the handle. The handle comprises a boss-engaging end portion, a stem-engaging portion, a slider-riding portion, and a grip end portion. The slider-riding portion has a slider with a tang extending therefrom. Each side of the slider-riding portion also includes a pair of springs mounted on a rail cutout so that the springs provide resistance against movement of the slider. The slider-riding portion includes an aperture for securing a lock to arrest movement of the slider. The boss has surfaces located to correspond to predetermined positions of the stem. These surfaces are engageable by the tang which, when so engaged, restrains the handle from rotation and prevents removal of the handle from the stem.

Garage Door Window

View page
US Patent:
20200392780, Dec 17, 2020
Filed:
May 14, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/874076
Inventors:
James A. Vitello - Escondido CA, US
Steven Kennedy - Escondido CA, US
International Classification:
E06B 3/46
E06B 7/14
E06B 3/26
E05B 65/08
E06B 3/48
Abstract:
This invention is directed toward an adjustable window for a garage door panel, where the window has an interior frame and an exterior frame. Both the interior and exterior frame have straight members that are secured to each other through the parts of the garage door that surround the opening with screws and screw receptacles. Connecting the frame members are adjustable corner braces that come in a variety of designs, with some being invisible after installation and others forming a decorative “corner” to the window.

Aquatic Exercise Device

View page
US Patent:
20190314684, Oct 17, 2019
Filed:
Apr 12, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/382886
Inventors:
- Auckland, NZ
Robert Delaney Tucker Mitchell - La Jolla CA, US
Steven J. Kennedy - San Diego CA, US
International Classification:
A63B 31/10
Abstract:
A fin assembly for aqua resistance exercise comprises a strap having an inner strap and an outer strap, and with fastener(s) provided to an outside of the inner strap and an inside of the outer strap to releasably attach the inner and outer straps together. One or more fins are received on the outer strap and a longitudinal position of the one or more fins is secured by engagement of the inner strap to the outer strap. The length of the inner strap is longer than a length of the outer strap, so that an extending end portion of the outer strap can overlap and engage an opposite end of the outer strap to secure the fin assembly about the user's limb.

C10M 129/54
C10M 129/34
C10M 133/16
C10M 135/10
C10M 155/04
Abstract:
A method for improving wear control of a steel surface lubricated with a lubricating oil through the generation of thick tribofilms. The method includes: (i) using as the lubricating oil a formulated oil, the formulated oil having a composition comprising at least one lubricating oil base stock as a major component; and at least one lubricating oil additive, as a minor component; and (ii) forming a tribofilm on the steel surface. In time-step tribofilm formation measurements of the lubricating oil by a mini-traction machine (MTM) at constant slide-to-roll ratio (SRR), the saturation traction coefficient (f), which correlates to tribofilm thickness on the steel surface, is greater than about 0.11. In the method of this disclosure, elongation of timing chain due to wear of chain link pins is less than about 0.07%, as determined by Ford Chain Wear (FCW) test conducted in accordance with ILSAC GF-6 specification. The lubricating oils are useful in internal combustion engines.
