Conducted a field and laboratory study to evaluate the grass shrimp Palaemonetes pugio utilization of microalgae from various habitats as a food source. Analyzed samples for chlorophyll content and radiolabeled carbon, reported, presented, and published results.
Louisiana Governor’s Ambassador to the Soviet Union
Selected to participate in a month long student exchange and tour of the former Soviet Union, including Moscow and a Peace Cruise visiting spots along the Dnieper River through the Ukraine from Kiev to Odessa.
