Skills:
I am trained in different analytical techniques. The major technique I learnt in my PhD is NMR spectroscopy as a part of my research in NMR based metabolomics analysis. I am well versed with acquiring and processing NMR spectrum using Bruker spectrometers. My special skill lies in acquiring NMR data from complex biological mixtures and small molecules. Furthermore, I am acquainted with setting up experiments of preclinical MRI using Bruker machine and T2 weighted image and inversion recovery data analysis using paravision. I am also acquainted with the use of imageJ for data analysis. My recent exposure is in the field of IR imaging, sample preparation (I can use microtome for sectioning) and use of ISYS software for IR image data analysis. In addition, I am also acquainted with techniques like fluorescence, UV/Vis, microscopy, synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry.
I am also able to undertake animal experiments and have experience in handling lab animals such as mice while designing and executing experiments using such animals. To this end, I am able to design and carry out animal experiments using general and special conditions such as metabolic cage, measurement of rectal temperature, excision of tissue samples, preparation of tissue samples for subsequent analysis.
I am able to handle large dimensional data using multivariate statistical analysis such as PCA, PLS etc using softwares like AMIX (Bruker), Simca-P, Solo (Eigenvector) and Unscrambler. I am also acquainted with databases such as KEGG, HMDB, SMPDB etc. that are used for metabolic pathway related searches.

Bioinformat... and software proficiency
Topspin (Bruker)
Amix (Bruker)
SimcaP (Umetrics)
Unscrambler
Solo (Eigenvector)
ISYS
ImageJ
Paravision
