US Patent:
20080103353, May 1, 2008
Filed:
Oct 24, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/923171
Inventors:
Scott Jahns - Hudson WI, US
Russell Paul - Brooklyn Park MN, US
Shiva Moosai - New Hope MN, US
International Classification:
A61F 5/00
US Classification:
600040000, 600038000
Abstract:
A prosthetic device comprises stacked column segments. A first one of the column segments comprises a ball surface facing along a column axis. The ball surface has a generally convex shape that is articulable in a mating socket of a second one of the column segments. The first one of the column segments comprises a socket surface facing an opposite direction along the column axis. The socket surface has a generally concave shape that is articulable on a mating ball of a third one of the column segments. Multiple column segments similar to the first column segment are stacked to form the column.

US Patent:
20110313427, Dec 22, 2011
Filed:
Jun 23, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/167541
Inventors:
Paul J. Gindele - Albertville MN, US
Shiva P. Moosai - New Hope MN, US
John Jason Buysman - Minnetonka MN, US
Karen Pilney Montpetit - Mendota Heights MN, US
International Classification:
A61N 1/05
A61B 19/00
A61N 1/04
US Classification:
606129, 607115, 607116
Abstract:
One embodiment of an electrode lead comprises a lead body, at least one electrode at a distal end of the lead body, an actuatable member and at least one anchor wire. The actuatable member is positioned within a lumen of the lead body. The at least one anchor wire has a proximal end that is attached to the actuatable member. Movement of the actuatable member relative to the lead body moves the at least one anchor wire through at least one opening in the lead body.

Electrode Implantation Tool

US Patent:
20120010627, Jan 12, 2012
Filed:
Mar 17, 2010
Appl. No.:
13/256376
Inventors:
Brian P. Watschke - Eden Prairie MN, US
John J. Buysman - Minnetonka MN, US
Paul J. Gindele - Albertville MN, US
Shiva P. Moosai - Minnetonka MN, US
Assignee:
AMS RESEARCH CORPORATION - Minnetonka MN
International Classification:
A61M 25/01
US Classification:
606129
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention are directed to an electrode implantation tool that is designed to assist in the accurate implantation of one or more electrodes in tissue of a patient. One embodiment of the electrode implantation tool comprises a catheter guide and introducer support, and catheter guide and an introducer. The catheter guide and introducer support comprises a first alignment member, a second alignment member, and a body member that is attached to the first and second alignment members. The body member fixes the relative orientations of the first and second alignment members. The catheter guide is supported by the first alignment member and comprises an elongate body having a distal end and a channel that is aligned with a longitudinal axis. The introducer comprises a sheath (166) that is supported by the second alignment member. The sheath defines a longitudinal axis. The first and second alignment members orient the longitudinal axis of the sheath at a predetermined angle to the longitudinal axis of the catheter guide.

Abstract:
Described are various embodiments of surgical procedures, systems, implants, devices, tools, and methods, useful for treating pelvic conditions in a male or female, the pelvic conditions including incontinence (various forms such as fecal incontinence, stress urinary incontinence, urge incontinence, mixed incontinence, etc.), vaginal prolapse (including various forms such as enterocele, cystocele, rectocele, apical or vault prolapse, uterine descent, etc.), and other conditions caused by muscle and ligament weakness, the devices and tools including devices and tools for anchoring an implant to supportive tissue and adjusting the implant.

Infusion Pump Pressure Plate

View page
US Patent:
20170028126, Feb 2, 2017
Filed:
Apr 23, 2015
Appl. No.:
15/303684
Inventors:
- Plymouth MN, US
Shiva MOOSAI - Plymouth MN, US
Assignee:
Smiths Medical ASD, Inc. - Plymouth MN
International Classification:
A61M 5/142
F04B 43/12
F16B 45/00
Abstract:
A pressure plate is configured to be coupled to a control module of an infusion pump. First and second securing hooks may extend away from a major surface of the pressure plate proximally to a first end. Each of the securing hooks may be structured to reversibly and hingedly couple to a hinge pin of the control module. An arch may extend away from the major surface proximally to a second transverse end and be structured to be received by a latch receptacle of the control module. The pressure plate may be secured to the control module by the securing hooks and arch. Each of the securing hooks may include a bearing surface configured to bear against a hinge pin when the pressure plate is secured to the control module, each bearing surface being parallel along the longitudinal axis with respect to the first major surface to within five degrees.
