US Patent:
7266451, Sep 4, 2007
Filed:
Mar 11, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/799012
Inventors:
Martin Clarence Bringuel - San Jose CA, US
Shelomon Patrick Doblack - Santa Clara CA, US
Assignee:
Trimble Navigation Limited - Sunnyvale CA
International Classification:
G01C 21/00
US Classification:
701213, 701 50, 361761
Abstract:
A shock resistant device. A printed circuit board comprising electronics and a frequency reference is rigidly mounted to a central support member. The electronics can be mounted to both surfaces of the printed circuit board. The central support member is mounted to an enclosure via wire rope isolators. The central support member is designed to maximize rigidity at minimum mass. The central support member can comprise a thin wall metal mesh or honeycomb. At least a portion of the central support member directly contacts the printed circuit board beneath the frequency reference.

Reflowable Circuit Protection Device

US Patent:
20140035716, Feb 6, 2014
Filed:
Aug 6, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/567245
Inventors:
Shelomon Patrick Doblack - Santa Clara CA, US
Jianhua Chen - Sunnyvale CA, US
Matthew P. Galla - Holly Springs NC, US
International Classification:
H01H 85/36
US Classification:
337148
Abstract:
A circuit protection device includes a housing, which includes first and second electrodes. The device includes a conductive slider inside the housing. At a first location within the housing, the slider provides an electrical connection between the first and second electrodes. At a second location within the housing, the slider does not provide the electrical connection. A spring is secured to and stretched between the slider and an inner side of the housing such that the spring is held in tension in an expanded state. The slider is held at the first location by a solder between the slider and the first and second electrodes. After the device is armed, detection of an over-temperature condition causes the solder to begin to melt and the spring to compress and pull the slider to the second location within the housing, thus severing the electrical connection between the first and second electrodes.

Button With Illumination Ring

US Patent:
20210366670, Nov 25, 2021
Filed:
Aug 3, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/392947
Inventors:
- Mountain View CA, US
Chee Sen Poh - San Jose CA, US
Jacqueline Laiz - San Jose CA, US
Anurag Gupta - Mountain View CA, US
Shelomon Doblack - Santa Clara CA, US
Alexander Wroblewski - Santa Clara CA, US
International Classification:
H01H 13/02
F21V 3/06
F21V 19/00
Abstract:
A hardware product for creating a light ring and a dead front effect. The product may include a housing with an opening. The hardware product may also include a button positioned within the opening and configured to be depressed by a user. The button is constructed using a two-part molding process and includes a first shot and a second shot. The first shot is configured to disperse light around the perimeter shape of the opening. The second shot is constructed from an optically opaque or semi-opaque material. A single light-emitting component electrically coupled to the circuit board provides light for creating the light ring.
