Awarded to a third-year student with demonstrated interest in small animal medicine and surgery, professionalism, and leadership ability. The recipient must be innovative, creative and giving of time to colleagues—qualities that embody Dr. Weitkamp’s spirit and dedication to the profession. The VMD 407 surgical team will review applications and recommend the recipient.
