Meijer also gave millions of dollars to buy and rehabilitate old railroad lines that crisscrossed western Michigan, leading to hundreds of miles of rails-to-trails hiking and biking paths, said Sharon Nunnelee, executive director of the West Michigan Trails & Greenways Coalition.
