Paul Farah - Morgan Hill CA, US
Assignee:
Cisco Technology, Inc. - San Jose CA
International Classification:
H04L 12/66
H04L 12/28
H04L 12/56
H04J 3/16
H04J 3/22
H04M 7/00
US Classification:
370352, 370389, 370401, 370466, 370467, 379219
Abstract:
A Voice over Packet (VoP) network includes an ingress gateway and an egress gateway for transparent transport of signaling messages between source and destination telephony switches utilizing respective source and destination telephony signaling protocols. The ingress gateway is configured for interfacing with the source telephony switch according to the source telephony signaling protocol and the egress gateway is configured for interfacing with the destination telephony switch according to the destination telephony signaling protocol. The ingress gateway and the egress gateway are configured for sharing information, based on a signaling message received by the ingress gateway from the source telephony switch, to determine a selected exchange type to be used by the ingress gateway and egress gateway in transporting the signaling message to the destination telephony switch.

US Patent:
20220360513, Nov 10, 2022
Filed:
Jul 27, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/874557
Inventors:
- San Jose CA, US
Selvakumaran N. Subramanian - Pleasanton CA, US
International Classification:
H04L 43/091
H04L 41/5009
Abstract:
Presented herein are embodiments for quickly identifying and recommending key performance indicators (KPIs) for network devices based on the type of network device and/or role of the device. The type or configuration of the network device may be obtained and compared to the capabilities of the network device. Operational or performance information of the network device, represented by strings, may be obtained based on the configuration information. Operational information that is not relevant to the configuration of the network device may be filtered out. The remaining operational information may be ranked as KPIs based on a relevance of the operational information with respect to the configuration information.

Composite Key Performance Indicators For Network Health Monitoring

View page
US Patent:
20210243097, Aug 5, 2021
Filed:
Apr 22, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/237243
Inventors:
- San Jose CA, US
Reda Haddad - San Jose CA, US
Selvakumaran N. Subramanian - Pleasanton CA, US
International Classification:
H04L 12/26
H04L 12/24
Abstract:
A remote server monitors the health of a network of computing devices through hierarchical composite indicators by obtaining performance attributes from computing devices in the network. The server generates a composite indicator associated with one or more of the computing device based on a combination of at least two performance attributes of the computing device(s). The server monitors the composite indicator and, responsive to a determination that the composite indicator indicates an alert condition, generates an alert associated with the computing device(s). Additionally, if the alert condition is subject to remediation, the server causes at least one of the computing devices to execute a command to provide remediation of the alert condition.

Continuous Monitoring Of Network Devices During Maintenance

US Patent:
20200358648, Nov 12, 2020
Filed:
Oct 24, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/662857
Inventors:
- San Jose CA, US
Ryan Rozanski - San Jose CA, US
Selvakumaran N. Subramanian - Pleasanton CA, US
Nitish Vashishtha - San Jose CA, US
International Classification:
H04L 12/24
H04L 12/26
Abstract:
Presented herein are embodiments for performing maintenance on devices in a network. A plurality of maintenance operations are generated that are to be executed on a plurality of network devices in a network. Instructions are transmitted to the plurality of network devices to execute one or more maintenance operations of the plurality of maintenance operations. Continuous checks are performed on the execution of the one or more maintenance operations by analyzing telemetry data that is received from the plurality of network devices. In response to an indication of a network device failing a criterion of a continuous check, one or more corrective actions are automatically performed.

The telemetry data includes performance attributes of the computing device. The server generates a composite indicator associated with the computing device based on a combination of at least two performance attributes of the computing device. The server monitors the composite indicator and, responsive to a determination that the composite indicator meets an alert threshold, generates an alert associated with the computing device. Additionally, the server can monitor the health of the network of computing devices based on composite indicators from multiple computing devices in the network.
