DESIGN/DETAIL: REPORTS/PRESENTATIONS/TECHNOLO... Prepare complex reports for BIM projects that meet design specifications and deadlines. Design fabricatable duct and piping systems using CAD for plan and spec. and design build projects.. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects as well as fabricating and installation professionals to ensure project consistency and success. Present 3D design models to project coordination teams using AutoCAD and Navisworks in professional manner. Translate submittals and specifications into design model. Rapidly learn and master varied computer programs; currently taking 4 month course in Revit MEP software. Field verify existing mechanical systems and apply knowledge to reinstallation design after demolition. Understanding of all aspects of building process from design, fabrication, installation of material and delivering accurate as-built drawings to the customer along with a building model. FIELD/SHOP HANDS ON SKILLS Familiarity and use of all machinery in a sheet metal shop and able to learn new machines quickly : o Shears, metal break, plasma cutter, TDC machine, pittsburgh machines, snaplock machines, automatic gored elbow machine, swedge machine, riveter, automatic TDC corner machine. o Assembling of material, filling orders for field, imputing orders into computer system for automatic fabrication. Knowledge of field installation and implementation. o Staging of material at site, assemblage of material on site, field measure fittings for order, hanging and installed assembled material, laying out of hangers, giving direction to others on design. o In field coordination with architects, engineers, project managers, foreman and site supervisor on changes to original design during the installation process.
