Partnership for a Secure America (PSA)
This opportunity is for Congressional staff interested in generating dialogue and developing the skills and relationships required to advance bipartisanship on national security and foreign policy issues. Through policy seminars and networking activities, this unique program aims to equip the next generation of foreign policy and security experts to respect differences, build common ground and achieve US national interests. CPP participants have engaged in discussions with such PSA Advisory Board members as former National Security Advisor Anthony Lake and former Homeland Security Advisor Frances Townsend, published op-eds in international newspapers, and gained valuable connections that developed into bipartisan and bicameral professional relationships.
Nonprofit Board Leadership Development Program
The Black Philanthropic Alliance (BPA)
The Nonprofit Board Leadership Development Program is designed to recruit, train, and place a cadre of African American leaders steeped in the skills necessary to become effective members and leaders of nonprofit boards in Greater Washington. BPA’s goal is to increase the number of African Americans serving on nonprofit boards in the region so that organizations serving the Black community can model strong Black leaders for the children and families they are serving. NBLDP represents a targeted approach to increasing the number of African Americans serving on nonprofit boards. BPA’s partner in this effort is Greater DC Cares, the leading and largest coordinator of volunteerism in the region
