City: Church inspections found no imminent threat

The city building department could not say whether an inspection this year could have prevented Thursdays tragedy, which killed Sarah Bean, 32-year-old mother of two and a medical technician who had worked at Lurie Childrens Hospital for the last seven years.

A statement posted on the churchs web site expressed our deep sorrow at the death of Sarah Bean, who died as a result of an incident that occurred in front of the church at noon on Thursday. We send our heartfelt sympathy and continual prayers for her family and friends.
