Safety; operation electrical bed, side rails, call system, safe body mechanics, antiemoblic devices/stockings, apply and removal of restraints via doctor orders and RN supervision, transfer client from bed to WC. In addition asepsis and infection prevention; gowning, gloving, masks(including N95), handling hazardous waste, and hand washing.Acute Care: -Effectively and safely took vitals of over 150 patients via temperature(oral, axillary, rectal and tympanic), manual pulse, visually counted respirations, height and weight, measuring Is and Os, monitoring of pulse oximetry, and have successfully taken over 200 diabetic ACCU-Check test. In addition I have been educated on the proper steps to take when vitals are below or above individualized norms.Psychiatric Nursing: -Effectively used in a clinical setting ; assertive introductions, offering self, suicide assessment, asking for feelings and emotions, basic encouragement, deep breathing exercises, I messages, and DESC Scripts conflicts and resolution. Assessing clinical areas for unsafe items, or negative behavioral triggers.
