Assembly For Supplying Power

View page
US Patent:
57137579, Feb 3, 1998
Filed:
Dec 3, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/760140
Inventors:
Ronald E. Karst - Kendallville IN
Ryan K. Sliger - Corunna IN
Assignee:
Pent Assemblies, Inc. - Kendallville TN
International Classification:
H01R 1356
US Classification:
439445
Abstract:
An assembly for supplying power to a system of modular wall panels may include a housing, a lid, and a sleeve positionable on a conduit and disposed between the lid and housing. The sleeve is configured to have a predetermined shape that cooperates with structure on either the lid, the housing, or both to fix the conduit in a plurality of different orientations or positions with respect to the housing and lid. The sleeve may include positioning means, such as a key, and the housing may be configured to include an opening in which the positioning means is selectively positionable in a first orientation whereby the conduit assumes a first position with respect to the housing and a second orientation whereby the conduit assumes a second position with respect to the housing that is different than the first position. The housing may include a second opening in which the positioning means is disposed when the conduit assumes the second position. The sleeve may be configured to include second positioning means and the lid configured to include an opening in which the second positioning means is disposed.

US Patent:
63295911, Dec 11, 2001
Filed:
Apr 26, 2001
Appl. No.:
9/843003
Inventors:
Ronald E. Karst - Kendallville IN
Edward J. Keil - Rome City IN
James M. Buse - Auburn IN
Donald E. DeWitt - Syracuse IN
Assignee:
Pent Assemblies, Inc. - Kendallville IN
International Classification:
H02G 310
US Classification:
174 48
Abstract:
A wall panel assembly for use in an office environment includes a wireway which is attached to a wall panel. The wireway includes two side walls, a top wall, a bottom wall and a raceway defining a conduit for electrical power conductors. The raceway is positioned between the side walls and extends between and interconnects the top wall and the bottom wall. The raceway structurally supports the wireway.

Modular Electrical Receptacle

View page
US Patent:
55847145, Dec 17, 1996
Filed:
Jun 7, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/476359
Inventors:
Ronald E. Karst - Kendallville IN
Shawn J. Kondas - Kendallville IN
Assignee:
Pent Assemblies, Inc. - Kendallville IN
International Classification:
H01R 460
US Classification:
439215
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a modular electrical receptacle including a housing and a faceplate. The faceplate is integral with or attached to the housing, and has at least two parallel blade openings and at least two T-slot blade openings. The parallel blade openings are disposed along a common longitudinal axis, and each T-slot blade opening is associated with a respective parallel blade opening. At least one plug-in electrical connector is attached to the housing and/or the faceplate. A conductor member defines at least two T-slot blade sockets, with each T-slot blade socket associated with a respective one of the T-slot blade openings. The conductor member interconnects at least one connector with each T-slot blade socket. The conductor member can be of monolithic or two-piece construction.

Modular Electrical System

US Patent:
57289700, Mar 17, 1998
Filed:
May 7, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/646087
Inventors:
Ronald E. Karst - Kendallville IN
Shawn J. Kondas - Kendallville IN
Assignee:
Pent Assemblies, Inc. - Kendallville IN
International Classification:
H02G 326
US Classification:
174 48
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a modular electrical system attachable to a modular office partition, including an electrical distribution assembly with at least two projections extending from one side thereof. At least two projection receiving members are associated with the partition, and engageable with a respective projection. At least one resilient retainer device is biased to a retaining position for securably and releasably maintaining at least one of the projections in engagement with a respective receiving member. The resilient retainer device is also movable to a disengaging position allowing the at least one projection to be disengaged from the respective receiving member.
