View page
US Patent:
6398676, Jun 4, 2002
Filed:
Oct 13, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/687443
Inventors:
Robert S. Mizek - Downers Grove IL
Assignee:
New Archery Products Corp. - Forest Park IL
International Classification:
F42B 608
US Classification:
473583
Abstract:
An arrowhead having at least one blade, preferably between two to six blades, which are interchangeably mounted in a pivotal or a fixed position with respect to a blade carrying body. A pin is used to retain a corresponding blade in a pivotal or a fixed position with respect to a blade carrying body. When the blade is pivotally mounted a bias force of a retaining member is preferably selected so that each blade remains in a normally closed position during flight or during handling of the arrowhead, but yet responsively and quickly moves to a fully open position upon impact or when a sufficient opening force is applied to the blade.

Archery Quiver For Holding A Broadhead

View page
US Patent:
6431162, Aug 13, 2002
Filed:
Oct 13, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/687438
Inventors:
Robert S. Mizek - Downers Grove IL
Miroslav A. Simo - Riverside IL
Assignee:
New Archery Products Corp. - Forest Park IL
International Classification:
F41B 506
US Classification:
124 86, 124 255, 224916
Abstract:
An archery quiver, for holding a broadhead, having a support structure with at least one mounting bore and an insert positionable within each mounting bore. The insert has a plurality of arms which extend radially outward from a center portion of the insert, each arm forming a void for housing a blade of the broadhead. When the broadhead is in an inserted position within the insert, a plurality of areas of an inner surface of the insert preferably contact a portion of at least one of a ferrule of the broadhead and an arrow shaft attached to the broadhead to securely center the broadhead within the insert.

Archery Bow Stabilizer Having Energy Directors

View page
US Patent:
6494196, Dec 17, 2002
Filed:
Jan 16, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/760872
Inventors:
Frank A. Harwath - Downers Grove IL
Robert S. Mizek - Downers Grove IL
Assignee:
New Archery Products Corp. - Forest Park IL
International Classification:
F41B 520
US Classification:
124 89
Abstract:
A bow stabilizer for an archery bow having a hollow body with at least one opening and forming a chamber. A plug is removably mounted within at least one opening. An element, which extends from the plug, has a fixed end portion contacting the plug and a free end portion positioned at a distance from the plug. At least a portion of the element is exposed within the chamber and at least a portion of the element converges in a direction from the fixed end portion to the free end portion. The elements provide a decrease in a vibration amplitude during a recoil cycle after an archery arrow is released from the archery bow.

Move Away Arrow Rest

View page
US Patent:
6634349, Oct 21, 2003
Filed:
Apr 18, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/837665
Inventors:
Robert S. Mizek - Downers Grove IL
Frank A. Harwath - Naperville IL
Assignee:
New Archery Products Corp. - Forest Park IL
International Classification:
F41B 522
US Classification:
124 445
Abstract:
An apparatus for mounting an arrow rest with respect to an archery bow window. In one preferred embodiment of this invention, the apparatus includes a shaft mounted with respect to a housing, and moveable between a first position and a second position. A cam is connected to or integrated with the shaft and operatively moveable with the shaft. A follower is urged in contact with the cam in the first position by a first bias element and a second bias element urges the shaft from the first position to the second position.

Archery Bow Vibration Dampener

View page
US Patent:
6684874, Feb 3, 2004
Filed:
Dec 27, 2001
Appl. No.:
10/035041
Inventors:
Robert S. Mizek - Downers Grove IL
Frank A. Harwath - Downers Grove IL
Miroslav A. Simo - Riverside IL
Assignee:
New Archery Products Corp. - Forest Park IL
International Classification:
F41B 520
US Classification:
124 89
Abstract:
A device for reducing vibration and shock in an archery bow includes a base and an integral body formed of a flexible material. The body includes a non-uniform cross-section as the body extends away from the base and terminates in a peripheral mass positioned on a distal portion of the body opposite the base. As a result of such an arrangement, including the alternative of positioning two devices in axial alignment on an archery bow limb, vibration and shock following discharge of an arrow are greatly reduced in the archery bow.
