Abstract:
A wireless communication system and method for managing content of a remote device () is described. A transceiver () receives usage information from the remote device () and communicates event content to the remote device at a reporting time. The usage information indicates activity of the remote device () during a predetermined time period. The processor () determines the reporting time based on the usage activity of the remote device () during the predetermined time period. For another embodiment, the processor () determines a time period of inactivity based on the usage activity of the remote device () during the predetermined time period, and minimizes communication of the event content to the remote device during one or more future time periods corresponding to the time period of inactivity.
