Compact Spray Valve

View page
US Patent:
6523757, Feb 25, 2003
Filed:
Nov 2, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/704889
Inventors:
Richard John Bievenue - Burnt Hills NY
Jonathan N. Urquhart - Clifton Park NY
Assignee:
Precision Valve Automation, Inc. - Halfmoon NY
International Classification:
B05B 712
US Classification:
239407, 239296, 239408, 239412, 2394165, 2394173, 239418, 23953312, 239584
Abstract:
A compact spray valve that provides an extended atomizing air cap for reaching between tightly spaced electronic components. The compact spray valve of the present invention includes an air body, a fluid control body and an extended atomizing air cap. The atomizing air cap along with a seat extension provides a plurality of laminar air flow conduits causing atomization of a fluid into a spray. The resulting spray pattern can be controlled to provide a narrow line spray pattern with clearly defined edges. Another embodiment of the present invention provides a flat spray pattern.

Rotary Dispenser And Method For Use

US Patent:
6916378, Jul 12, 2005
Filed:
Jan 8, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/041259
Inventors:
Anthony Joseph Hynes - Ballston Spa NY, US
Jonathan N. Urquhart - Clifton Park NY, US
Richard John Bievenue - Burnt Hills NY, US
Assignee:
Precision Valve & Automation, Inc. - Halfmoon NY
International Classification:
B05C011/00
US Classification:
118669, 118323
Abstract:
A rotary dispenser that provides for airlessly applying a fluidic coating material to a target surface. The rotary dispenser of the present invention includes an angled fluidic passage therein, a fluid control body and a motor driven shaft to which the rotary dispenser is operationally attached. The rotary dispenser, with its angled fluid passage, provides a flow conduit which produces a series of overlapping circular spray patterns. The resulting spray patterns can be controlled to provide a narrow line spray pattern with clearly defined edges. Another embodiment of the present invention provides a spray pattern for coating the interior surface of hollow objects. A method of using the rotary dispenser in various coating applications is also disclosed.

Fluid Dispensing Valve And Method

US Patent:
61965219, Mar 6, 2001
Filed:
Aug 18, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/136156
Inventors:
Anthony Joseph Hynes - Ballston Spa NY
Richard John Bievenue - Burnt Hills NY
Assignee:
Precision Valve & Automation, Inc. - Halfmoon NY
International Classification:
F16K 31145
US Classification:
251 611
Abstract:
A valve is provided including a body made of anaerobic, reactive fluid resistant material. The valve also directs pressurized fluid in a substantially planar manner between adjacent port holes on a recessed area of a fluid body section of the valve. The flexible diaphragm can be actuated manually or programmed to dispense pressurized fluid, such as cyanoacrylate fluid. A method of dispensing anaerobic, reactive material is also provided.

Spraying And Dispensing Apparatus

US Patent:
60682027, May 30, 2000
Filed:
Sep 10, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/151044
Inventors:
Anthony Joseph Hynes - Ballston Spa NY
Richard John Bievenue - Burnt Hills NY
Assignee:
Precision Valve & Automotion, Inc. - Halfmoon NY
International Classification:
B05D 510
US Classification:
239290
Abstract:
A spraying and dispensing apparatus that provides both spraying and dispensing from a single compact apparatus. The present invention includes a valve assembly attached to a pneumatic slide assembly. Included in the valve assembly are a valve main body, comprising an air body and a fluid control body, and an air atomizing body. The air body includes a system for controlling a fluid control needle to regulate the flow of material provided to a fluid dispenser needle. The pneumatic slide assembly includes a pneumatic slide to selectively position an outlet of the fluid dispenser needle within the atomizing air body for spraying, or outside of the atomizing air body for dispensing.
