BIO
Randy Frey is currently associated with Coldwell Banker and WSA Partners representing sellers, buyers and investors for residential and investment properties. He has been a licensed CA real estate agent since 2000.
Born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Randy received his B.A. in Photojournalism in 1973 from Kent State University in Ohio. After a series of "life's little redirections" that began after graduating from college and running through the late 1970's, Randy moved to Los Angeles in 1979. In L.A. he began what became a 15-year music industry career and made a career change to real estate in 2000. "My dad spent 35 years in direct sales and always said I would be good at it if I just tried. Real estate is honestly the best job I have ever had and I am excited to go to work every day! It never gets old."
Randy married in 1989 to wife Lorene and they have two children, Keaton and Elana. The Frey family has lived in the Mar Vista/Venice area since 1989 and is very active with their children's schools, local charities and volunteering.
Randy works the entire Westside of Los Angeles including Mar Vista, Venice, Culver City, West Los Angeles, Westwood/Century City, Cheviot Hills/Rancho Park, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Marina del Rey, Miracle Mile, West Hollywood, Hollywood and other surrounding communities of L.A including the South Bay, Westchester, Inglewood, etc. “When the market changed, I had to move beyond my comfort zone and go to the business rather than waiting for the business to come to me.” He feels that it's much better to be familiar with a lot of areas other than concentrating on one specific area. "In the current economy it’s almost necessary for an agent to know, and be willing to work in, a wider geographic area of Los Angeles. I can get my clients to explore areas of the city they may not be familiar with…L.A and the real estate mafrket is evolving all the time."
ON A PERSONAL NOTE...
I hate to write about myself but...I'm happy, which makes everything easier. I have a great life, great family, I love my career and I'm settled. But I am still a kid at heart, which is something you should never lose touch with. Getting older has grounded me and I know I'm a lot smarter now than I ever was. But it's great to know that my kids and their friends think my wife and I are very "cool" people.
