Agricultural Bale Accumulator

View page
US Patent:
7246479, Jul 24, 2007
Filed:
Jul 29, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/208602
Inventors:
Phillip G. Spaniol - Streator IL, US
Stephen J. Spaniol - Manville IL, US
Kevin D. Kaschke - Hoffman Estates IL, US
International Classification:
A01D 74/04
US Classification:
56474, 56476
Abstract:
An agricultural bale accumulator () includes a load bed () and a load bed extension module (). The load bed extension module () includes an extension table () pivotally connected to a side () of a load bed () by a hinge mechanism (). The hinge mechanism () permits the load bed extension module () to move relative to the load bed () between a stowed position, perpendicular to the load bed (), and an unstowed position, co-planar with a load bed () and adjacent to the side () of the load bed (). The agricultural bale accumulator () has a first lateral width dimension () when the first extension table () is in the stowed position to provide a first bale accumulating capacity and a first bale discharging capacity. The agricultural bale accumulator () has a second lateral width dimension (), greater than the first lateral width dimension (), when the first extension table () is in the unstowed position to provide a second bale accumulating capacity and a second bale discharging capacity, greater than the first bale accumulating capacity and the second bale discharging capacity, respectively. Optionally, an extension table support system () may also be used to provide additional support for the extension table ().

US Patent:
8567169, Oct 29, 2013
Filed:
Jul 23, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/880556
Inventors:
Phillip G. Spaniol - Streator IL, US
Stephen J. Spaniol - Manville IL, US
Kevin D. Kaschke - Hoffman Estates IL, US
International Classification:
A01D 75/04
US Classification:
56474, 414111
Abstract:
An agricultural bale accumulator includes a load bed, a bale transfer module, and a bale discharge module. The load bed includes center, right and left load beds, adapted to receive and accumulate thereon first, second and third bales, respectively, from a bale chamber of an agricultural baler along a bale-receiving axis. The bale transfer module alternately transfers the bales across the load bed from the center load bed to the right load bed or the left load bed along a bale transfer axis, transverse to the bale receiving axis, responsive to a bale transfer signal to accumulate the bales on the center, right, and the left load beds in a side-by-side relationship. The bale discharge module moves between a bale accumulating position and a bale discharging position responsive to a bale discharge signal. The bale discharge module moves to the bale accumulating position to accumulate the bales on the load bed. The bale discharge module moves from the bale accumulating position to the bale discharging position to discharge at least the first bale received and accumulated on the center load bed to the ground surface.

US Patent:
6425235, Jul 30, 2002
Filed:
Jun 22, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/486902
Inventors:
Phillip G. Spaniol - Streator IL, 60195
Stephen J. Spaniol - Manville IL, 61319
Kevin D. Kaschke - Hoffman Estates IL, 60195
International Classification:
A01D 7404
US Classification:
56474, 56476
Abstract:
An agricultural bale accumulator ( ) comprises a load bed extension module ( ) including at least one extension table ( ) pivotally connected to a side ( ) of a load bed ( ) by a hinge ( ) and moveable relative to the load bed ( ) between a stowed position and an unstowed, bale accumulating, position which is co-planar with a load bed ( ) and adjacent to the side ( ) of the load bed ( ). The agricultural bale accumulator ( ) has a first lateral width dimension ( ) when the first extension table ( ) is in the stowed position to provide a first bale accumulating capacity. The agricultural bale accumulator ( ) has a second lateral width dimension ( ), greater than the first lateral width dimension ( ), when the first extension table ( ) is in the unstowed position to provide a second bale accumulating capacity, greater than the first bale accumulating capacity. An extension table support system ( ) connected to a main frame ( ) and/or the extension table ( ). The extension table support system ( ) contacts the extension table ( ) at a location beyond the side ( ) of the main frame ( ) and contacts the main frame ( ) and/or the ground surface ( ) to directly support the extension table ( ) from the main frame ( ) and/or the ground surface ( ), respectively, on and/or off a pivot axis ( ) when the extension table ( ) is in the unstowed position and when the load bed ( ) pivots about the pivot axis ( ) relative to the main frame ( ) to a bale accumulating position and/or a bale discharging position.
