Method Of Assessing A Pilot Emotional State

View page
US Patent:
20220284737, Sep 8, 2022
Filed:
May 23, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/751037
Inventors:
- Cheltenham, GB
Alexander S. Chen - Long Beach CA, US
Peter H. Tu - Niskayuna NY, US
International Classification:
G06V 40/20
A61B 5/18
G10L 25/63
Abstract:
A method of assessing an operator emotional state and sending an alert based on the emotional state . The method includes tracking during a time period, using at least one sensor , one of an image sensor data, voice data or a biometric parameter of an operator. Determining , using a controller that is operatively connected to at least one sensor , a probability of a likely emotional state from a list of emotional states of an operator based on one of the image sensor data, voice data or the biometric parameter. Comparing , using a processor, the probability of one of the likely emotional states of the operator with a baseline emotional state of the operator. Sending , using the controller , an alert if most likely emotional state deviates from the baseline emotional state by a predetermined threshold.

Protective Case For Mobile Devices

View page
US Patent:
20210266029, Aug 26, 2021
Filed:
May 10, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/316711
Inventors:
- Irvine CA, US
Peter Tu - Long Beach CA, US
Timothy Hemesath - Clovis CA, US
Assignee:
Incipio, LLC - Irvine CA
International Classification:
H04B 1/3888
Abstract:
A protective case for a portable mobile device is disclosed. The protective case comprises a shell that defines a compartment for receiving and retaining a mobile device, a cover panel, and a connector component. The shell has a main panel that includes an aperture and a subpanel that is hinged at a first side within the aperture and reversibly attached to the aperture via mechanical protrusions or detents at a second side so that it can rotatably attach and detach, or snap, into and out of the main panel. The hinge may be formed by one or more flexible layers overlaid on the shell or via mechanical swivel joint such as a pin and socket connection. A connector portion connects the cover panel to the shell and forms a flexible spine between the cover panel and the shell. The connector portion is comprised of opposing inner and outer layers that are overlaid over the internal and external facing surfaces of the shell and cover panel. The main panel of the shell is configured to receive and retain the mobile device within its compartment and may be snap-fitted over the mobile device. In operation, the case can be opened and the subpanel detached from the main panel to allow the main panel to rotate relative to the subpanel and rest on the inner surface of the cover component to provide varied viewing/operating positions to the user.

US Patent:
20200288833, Sep 17, 2020
Filed:
Jun 2, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/891044
Inventors:
- Irvine CA, US
Peter Tu - Long Beach CA, US
Assignee:
Incipio, LLC - Irvine CA
International Classification:
A45C 11/00
Abstract:
Protective cases and case systems for a mobile device are disclosed herein. The cases include a multi component structure that defines a compartment dimensioned to receive a mobile device and includes one or more shock absorber elements embedded within its side walls. The multi-component construct may be configured as a standalone case or as a sleeve that reversibly fits within another external component or shell. The shock absorber element may be formed in multiple segments and may be formed of a softer material than adjacent regions of the case and co-molded into a channel in a supporting wall component that is formed of a more rigid material. The shock absorber component may have one or more channels formed in its outer surface and may extend internally into the device compartment to form relatively soft corner pads or cushions. Some embodiments may further include an optional screen protector lid.
