Mobility Label-Based Networks

View page
US Patent:
8081611, Dec 20, 2011
Filed:
Sep 28, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/863489
Inventors:
Oleg L. Berzin - Huntingdon Valley PA, US
Andrew G. Malis - Andover MA, US
Assignee:
Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc. - Basking Ridge NJ
International Classification:
H04Q 7/24
US Classification:
370338, 370466
Abstract:
A device may receive a discovery signal from a mobile node, register the mobile node in response to receiving the discovery signal from the mobile node, assign a mobility label to the mobile node after the registration, distribute messages describing the mobility label and the mobile node to edge routers in the network to create a label switched path, and route communication messages from a remote node to the mobile node along the label switched path in the network.

Mobility Management Using Address Pools In Mobility Label Based Mpls Networks

View page
US Patent:
8254320, Aug 28, 2012
Filed:
Dec 30, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/346007
Inventors:
Oleg L. Berzin - Huntingdon Valley PA, US
Assignee:
Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc. - Basking Ridge NJ
International Classification:
H04W 4/00
H04L 12/28
H04L 12/56
US Classification:
370329, 370328, 370389, 370392
Abstract:
A routing system coupled to a label switching network receives a pool of network addresses allocated to a mobility region in the network, where the pool of network addresses includes a sequence of contiguous network addresses. The routing system stores the pool of network addresses, and allocates a range of mobility labels to the network address pool for use in communicating with mobile nodes in the mobility region.

Hierarchical Mobility Label-Based Network

View page
US Patent:
8305959, Nov 6, 2012
Filed:
Sep 30, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/241797
Inventors:
Oleg L Berzin - Huntingdon Valley PA, US
Assignee:
Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc. - Basking Ridge NJ
International Classification:
H04W 4/00
US Classification:
370328, 370331
Abstract:
A system includes a label edge router associated with a geographical region, an area label edge router associated with an area that includes the region, and a route reflector associated with the area. The label edge router registers a first mobile node, creates a mobility binding for the first mobile node, and sends a first internal update message that includes the mobility binding. The area label edge router receives a second internal update message that carries contents of the first internal update message, updates a forwarding information base based on the second internal update message to establish a first label switched path, and sends an external update message. The route reflector receives the first internal update message, sends the second internal update message to the area label edge router, and receives the external update message from the area label edge router.

Service-Based Access For Enterprise Private Network Devices To Service Provider Network Services

View page
US Patent:
8498626, Jul 30, 2013
Filed:
Dec 10, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/710051
Inventors:
Arvind Aggarwal - Danville CA, US
Oleg Berzin - Huntingdon Valley PA, US
Jean G. Dodard - Keller TX, US
Assignee:
Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc. - Basking Ridge NJ
International Classification:
H04M 3/42
US Classification:
4554141, 709228
Abstract:
A system is configured to receive, from an enterprise device, a request to access a network domain, and is configured to determine whether the network domain is associated with a wireless service provider service. Based on determining that the network domain is not associated with the wireless service provider service, the system is configured to route the request to a private network associated with the enterprise device. Based on determining that the network domain is associated with the wireless service provider service, the system is configured to route the request to a domain name system server associated with the wireless service provider, receive a domain name system response to the request, the domain name system response identifying a network address, and route the domain name system response to the enterprise device.

System And Method For Providing Network Mobility

View page
US Patent:
8514864, Aug 20, 2013
Filed:
Mar 31, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/415032
Inventors:
Oleg Berzin - Huntingdon Valley PA, US
Assignee:
Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc. - Basking Ridge NJ
International Classification:
H04L 12/28
US Classification:
37039531, 37039552, 37039553, 370401
Abstract:
An approach is provided for extending private enterprise networking to wireless interconnecting domains. A home agent maintains a first routing table for a first wireless router configured to route according to a first address space. The home agent also maintains a second routing table for a second wireless router configured to route according to a second address space. The first address space and the second address space are overlapping.

Handoffs In A Hierarchical Mobility Label-Based Network

View page
US Patent:
8532123, Sep 10, 2013
Filed:
Nov 12, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/945267
Inventors:
Oleg L. Berzin - Huntingdon Valley PA, US
Assignee:
Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc. - Basking Ridge NJ
International Classification:
H04L 12/28
US Classification:
370401, 370400, 370331, 370392
Abstract:
A system establishes a communication path between a mobile node and a first label edge router, registers the mobile node at the first label edge router, and creates a mobility binding at the first label edge router. The system also establishes a label switched path between the first label edge router and a second label edge router by propagating the mobility binding in the system, and establishes communication between the mobile node and a corresponding node over the label switched path. The system further maintains the communication between the mobile node and the corresponding node over the system when the mobile node moves from one physical location to another physical location and causes a handoff of the mobile node between two layer 2 grooming networks.

Filed:
May 31, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/168928
Inventors:
- Arlington VA, US
Oleg L. BERZIN - Huntingdon Valley PA, US
Chris M. OKONIEWSKI - Florence NJ, US
International Classification:
H04W 4/04
H04L 29/08
H04W 4/02

The first device may determine a state of the user indicated by the movements of the first device. The first device may determine whether the data is associated with the movements of the user inside one or more structures. The first device may generate a map for a structure, of the one or more structures, by combining the data received from the one or more sensors. The first device may provide the map for the structure for display and the data toward one or more second devices.
