Throughout the duration of .the patient’s treatment I had requested therapeutic collaboration from Nirmala Heriza, who had been successfully treating her for several years for myofascial trigger points. Though (the patient) utilized anti-inflammatory medication daily, Ms. Heriza’s form of therapy was more safe and effective than medication which would only numb the pain for a few hours, but fail to correct the source of the problem, and put the patient at risk for systemic problems over the long term. Her treatment of our patient's myofasciat trigger points was more effective than physical therapy visits in which (the patient) would be given range of motion exercises that she could not accomplish due to pain. Nirmala Heriza has maintained a highly professional and responsible relationship, and achieved a high level of patient satisfaction. She is a clinician to whom I would not hesitate to refer my patients who are in the need of an adept and well-trained, high quality professional to manually treat myofascial trigger points.
