Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. - Houston TX
International Classification:
B41J 216
US Classification:
347 47, 298901
Abstract:
A plate has a rectangular plate body with a plurality of nozzle arrays. The plate also has first and second end zones in between the plurality of nozzle arrays and opposing ends of the plate body, respectively. There is a break tab in at least one of the first and second end zones. In between the first and second end zones is a middle zone. A plating material encapsulates the plate body in the middle zone.

Re-Usable Mandrel For Fabrication Of Ink-Jet Orifice Plates

View page
US Patent:
6790325, Sep 14, 2004
Filed:
Apr 9, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/829500
Inventors:
Craig M. Gates - Corvallis OR
Niranjan Thirukkovalur - Corvallis OR
Assignee:
Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. - Houston TX
International Classification:
C25D 110
US Classification:
204281, 428141, 428336, 428432, 428698, 347 20, 347 47
Abstract:
A method for creating a mandrel for electroforming orifice sheets with tapered bores is described. The method uses photo-imagable polymer or photoresist to create the desired profile. This is followed by electroforming a parent mandrel over which a mandrel-quality sheet of glass is melted. An array of pillars with defined location and shape is formed with a desired profile for the mandrel to be used for the electroforming process. The glass is then metalized. A photoresist mask is formed on the metalized glass and a dielectric is deposited onto the pillars.

Emission Device And Method For Forming

View page
US Patent:
6822379, Nov 23, 2004
Filed:
Oct 1, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/262808
Inventors:
Paul H. McClelland - Monmouth OR
David L. Neiman - Corvallis OR
Steven Leith - Albany OR
Niranjan Thirukkovalur - Corvallis OR
Assignee:
Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. - Houston TX
International Classification:
H01J 102
US Classification:
313309, 313495
Abstract:
An emission device includes a plurality of electron emitter structures of varied geometry that have a conducting layer deposited thereon. The conducting layer has openings located at tunneling sites for each of the electron emitter structures. The tunneling sites facilitate electron emissions from each of the varied geometry electron emitter structures upon voltage biasing of the conducting layer relative to the electron emitter structures.

International Classification:
H01M 8/10
H01M 2/00
US Classification:
429 32, 429 33, 429 34
Abstract:
A fuel cell includes one or more fuel cell assemblies. Each of the fuel cell assemblies has an electrolyte having a length, an anode having a length and disposed on one side of the electrolyte, and a cathode having a length and disposed on the same or the other side of the electrolyte. The fuel cell further includes a plurality of current collectors. Each of the current collectors is substantially embedded within, and continuously extends substantially the respective length of at least one of the electrolyte, anode and cathode.
