Bladderless Reservoir Tank For A Hydraulic Accumulator

View page
US Patent:
8511343, Aug 20, 2013
Filed:
Aug 5, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/851163
Inventors:
Nicholas J. Scholtes - Shorewood IL, US
Assignee:
Control Solutions LLC - Aurora IL
International Classification:
F17D 1/08
US Classification:
137590, 137592, 137558, 137376, 60413, 60585, 60592
Abstract:
A bladderless reservoir tank is provided with a hollow body that forms a cavity for receipt of a working fluid. A pick-up tube is attached to the hollow body of the reservoir tank. A portion of the pick-up tube extends into the interior of the body such that a port of the pick-up tube is positioned at the centroid of the hollow body. The pick-up tube has a channel that extends from the port at the centroid to the exterior of the body of the reservoir tank.

Method And Apparatus For Aligning A Light Beam Onto An Optical Fiber Core

View page
US Patent:
20030016420, Jan 23, 2003
Filed:
Jul 20, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/910147
Inventors:
Roger Holmstrom - St. Charles IL, US
Nicholas Scholtes - Joliet IL, US
International Classification:
H04B010/08
H04B010/00
US Classification:
359/159000, 359/110000
Abstract:
A beam alignment system according to a first embodiment of the present invention is disclosed. The beam alignment system includes a signal detector that is positioned in a path of a beam carrying a traffic signal having a first wavelength and an alignment signal having a second wavelength. The signal detector allows a signal having the first wavelength to be transmitted and takes an intensity measurement of the alignment signal. The beam alignment system includes a signal alignment unit that compares the intensity measurement of the alignment signal to determine whether the alignment signal is aligned on the signal detector. The beam alignment unit includes a signal director that adjusts the path of the beam on the signal detector in response to the determination of the signal alignment unit.

Self-Bleeding Double Action Hydraulic Cylinder

View page
US Patent:
20110072962, Mar 31, 2011
Filed:
Sep 30, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/571136
Inventors:
Nicholas J. Scholtes - Shorewood IL, US
Assignee:
Control Solutions, LLC - Aurora IL
International Classification:
F01B 31/00
US Classification:
92163
Abstract:
A self-bleeding hydraulic cylinder system is provided. The system includes a hydraulic cylinder with an inner wall and an outer wall. A cylinder port is located in a top region of the hydraulic cylinder. A line port is located in a bottom region of the hydraulic cylinder. A sleeve covers at least a portion of the outer wall of the hydraulic cylinder, and a channel is formed between the sleeve and the outer wall of the hydraulic cylinder. The channel extends from the cylinder port to the line port such that air within the hydraulic cylinder is pushed through the cylinder port and through the channel to the line port in response to actuation of the hydraulic cylinder.
