Why a career in real estate? It all started in the 80’s with my first home buying experience. It was horrible to say the least… Within the first month after moving in, the toilet, water heater, and sump pump failed. To make things worse, it was discovered the roof was at it’s life’s end and the house was full of dry rot. Back then, all agents represented sellers only so buyers beware! When I made the decision to change careers in the mid 1990’s, buyer agency was a fairly new concept and I knew then this was the right career for me… I have been an Accredited Buyers Representative since 1997 and have earned numerous other REALTOR® accreditations and REO accreditations over the years. Today I list bank owned properties and short sales, work with relocation companies and also work with buyers. I have a fantastic partner, my husband, Steve Riggs, also a REALTOR® who works on our team.
