ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br/> Performs patient care functions, within the scope of competency, considering age related needs of the patient as prescribed by physician/health care professional(s) following established protocols, policies and procedures.<br/> Assist medical personnel with special procedures and/or diagnostic exams.<br/> Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician order following established protocols.<br/> Maintain equipment and supplies.<br/> Identify and arrange for equipment needing repair.<br/> Apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control as directed by the Infection Control Manual.<br/> Provide medical information and education to patients, following established protocols and guidelines.<br/> Document pertinent patient information, assessment and nursing procedures following established protocols.<br/> Maintain patient confidentiality.<br/> Perform other duties as directed. <br/> Computer savvy.<br/><br/>QUALIFICATIONS... LVN from State of California<br/>*Medical Assistant Certification<br/>*IV certification and ability to draw blood proficiently.(have performed over 3000 blood draws)<br/> *Ability to work in high volume clinic with multiple competing priorities and remain organized.<br/>*Clinical experience<br/>*Knowledge of IM and oral medications given in Internal Medicine<br/>*Dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to health plan members and internal customers<br/>*Able to anticipate needs of providers and RNs and assist with patient care.<br/>*Able to perform EKG, Spirometry, ABI.<br/>*Current BLS, phlebotomy certification, updated flu shot and TB test.<br/>*Team player and excellent supervisory skills.
