Abstract:
An apparatus for loading, storing, and unloading cargo such as glass panes upon a truck or trailer bed, the truck or trailer bed having a pivoting gate, the apparatus consisting of left and right âCâ channel beams, the lower flanges of the left and right âCâ channel beams forming left and right bed roller tracks; a load bearing rack having a plurality of left and right wheels or rollers oriented for rolling motion along the left and right bed roller tracks, left and right gate roller tracks formed of rectangular steel tubing, and left and right hinges respectively pivotally attaching the left and right gate roller tracks for pivotal motion between the first extended positions overlying an opened pickup truck or trailer gate, and second retracted positions allowing closure of the gate.

Abstract:
A glass pane handling assembly consisting of a base frame having left and right roller tracks; a lock bar having a helical bolt receiving slot, the lock bar extending parallel to the left and right sides of the base frame; ball bearings interconnecting ends of the lock bar with the base frame; a glass carrying frame having upwardly extending glass pane supporting arms; rollers extending leftwardly and rightwardly from the glass carrying frame, the rollers interconnecting the base and glass carrying frames; a helical bolt extending into the lock bars bolt receiving slot, the helical bolt being rigidly attached to the glass carrying frame; and an electric motor and pulley assembly operatively connected to the lock bar and adapted for alternately rotating and counter-rotating the lock bar.

Abstract:
An assembly for storing and handling of glass panes consisting a glass rack support frame adapted for attachment to an above floor or ground level surface, such frame defining a rearwardly opening glass rack receiving space; a glass rack; wheels and roller tracks rollably mounting the glass rack upon the glass rack support frame, and allowing alternate forward and rearward motion of the glass rack into and out of the glass rack receiving space; a roll stop having a rack engagement surface and a cart engagement surface; and a hinge for movably mounting the roll stop upon the glass rack support frame, the hinge interconnecting the roll stop and glass rack support frame for motion between first and second positions, the rack engaging surface of the roll stop facing forwardly while the roll stop occupies its first position, the roll stop moving away from the first position toward the second position upon application of pressure to its cart engaging surface.
