Effie Goldstein Memorial Volunteer Award

This award is given in memory of Effie, aleha hashalom, my wife of 29 years. Sponsoring this award is a way of saying thank you to the extended Schechter family for your friendship and support that meant so much to Effie, me and Abby. At the same time, this award keeps Effie’s memory alive in an institution and amongst people that she cared for so deeply. Michal is the Vice President of Community Relations at KSA. For the past two years, she served as the chair of the KSA Marketing Committee. Michal lives in Sharon with her husband Andy, her older son Natan who is an 8th grader at KSA and her triplet 4th graders at KSA, Aaron, Leah and Sara. Michal can best be categorized as the "consummate volunteer" - truly devoting herself to the betterment of KSA with countless hours of selfless dedication. Her tireless and often 'behind-the-scenes' work has helped build our kehillah and raised the awareness of KSA's mission through lending her expertise with marketing, advertising, planning, organizing and mentoring. The end result of a project that Michal quietly and unassumingly lends her name to equals our school standing stronger. We are honored that Michal has chosen to share so much of her time and talent with KSA and are honored to present her with the Effie Goldstein Memorial Volunteer Award.
