Abstract:
A system and method for facilitating authentication or identification services including an authentication server configured to provide an authentication certificate to a user of a first client device for authentication or identification of a user of a second client device. The first and second client devices are configured to communicate with each other and the authentication server. Each of the first and second client devices includes a user control program configured to communicate data to and from the authentication server. A media gateway is coupled to the authentication server to enable communication of media data from the first and second client devices to the authentication server. The user control program of the first client device is configured to receive a certificate corresponding to the user of the second client device and the authentication certificate from the authentication server. The user control program of the first client device is configured to authenticate the user of the second client device by comparing the certificate corresponding to the second client device and the authentication certificate.

US Patent:
20030125947, Jul 3, 2003
Filed:
Jan 3, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/038409
Inventors:
Michael Yudkowsky - Chicago IL, US
International Classification:
G10L017/00
G10L015/00
US Classification:
704/247000
Abstract:
A voice model database server determines the identity of a speaker through a network over which the voice model database server provides to one or more speech-recognition systems output data regarding a person with access to the speech-recognition system receiving the output data. The voice model database server attempts to locate, based on the identity of the speaker, a voice model for the speaker. Finally, the voice model database server retrieves from a storage area the voice model for the speaker, if the voice model database server located a voice model for the speaker.

View page
US Patent:
57244812, Mar 3, 1998
Filed:
Mar 30, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/413330
Inventors:
Roger Borgan Garberg - Naperville IL
Michael Allen Yudkowsky - Chicago IL
Assignee:
Lucent Technologies Inc. - Murray Hill NJ
International Classification:
G10L 506
G41H 900
H04M 164
US Classification:
395 252
Abstract:
A method and system for allowing an automatic speech recognition (ASR) system to recognize arbitrary words, by accessing information in a supplemental data base. A supplemental data base is accessed to retrieve supplementary textual information, such as a proper name. A text-to-speech means is used to generate a phoneme transcription of the text retrieved from the supplemental data base, so that the transcription may be used as a speaker independent template by the ASR system for recognizing a spoken word.

Automatic Processing Of Calls With Different Communication Modes In A Telecommunications System

View page
US Patent:
53965361, Mar 7, 1995
Filed:
Jun 23, 1992
Appl. No.:
7/902623
Inventors:
Michael A. Yudkowsky - Chicago IL
Assignee:
AT&T Corp. - Murray Hill NJ
International Classification:
H04M 1100
US Classification:
379 52
Abstract:
A multimode service system processes calls routed to it by a digital switch in a telecommunications system wherein choices are selectable by the user. Calls are processed by automatically determining the mode of communication utilized by the calling party and communicating with the calling party utilizing the calling party's communication mode to obtain information needed to route the call or implement user selectable features. A reply from the user provides information which determines feature selection or a call routing path. The multimode service system transmits a signal to the telecommunications system which defines the feature or path selection based on the reply from the user.
