View page
US Patent:
6695291, Feb 24, 2004
Filed:
Jul 23, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/201713
Inventors:
Mark Kleimeyer - Panama City Beach FL, 32411
Michael J. Mehrman - Atlanta GA, 30342
International Classification:
B66D 100
US Classification:
254266, 472131, 472130, 472136
Abstract:
Drums wind and unwind cables connected to a passenger carriage of an amusement ride in response to winding and unwinding of tethers about an axle The tethers are connected to elastic members that store energy, and a lock is releasable to permit the carriage to travel under the force of the stored energy. The drums have a diameter that is greater than a diameter of the axle, thereby providing a mechanical advantage to launch and accelerate the carriage to a high velocity and/or to provide a dampening effect on the motion of the carriage. Alternative embodiments include ramps with loops, corkscrew sections, and/or inclined sections for carrying the carriage, safety cables strung through attachment members connected to the tethers, and telescopic spring devices with concentric coil springs.

Mark Kleimeyer - Panama City Beach FL, 32411
Michael J. Mehrman - Atlanta GA
Assignee:
Mark Kleimeyer - Panama City Beach FL
International Classification:
A63G 3110
US Classification:
472131
Abstract:
A winch has a drum that winds and unwinds a cable in response to winding and unwinding of tethers about an axle The tethers are connected to telescopic spring devices with staged concentric springs that store energy, and a brake is releasable to permit the drum to rotate under the force of the stored energy. The drum has a diameter that is greater than a diameter of the axle thereby producing a mechanical advantage. The cable is also connected to a passenger carriage of an amusement ride that travels under the force of the stored energy.

The vented container also includes a curved straw similar to the exit pipe on a racecar fueling tank, which the user may drink from in the usual manner. To prevent spilling, the vented drinking vessel may include one or more valves, such as a one-way valve removable located within the vent tube and/or a check valve removable located within the curved straw, typically at the end of the straw. Vented No-Spill Drinking Bottle, Bottle Cap And Associated Bottle And Pouch System

View page
US Patent:
20070034594, Feb 15, 2007
Filed:
Aug 4, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/197057
Inventors:
Jason Doucet - Roswell GA, US
Michael Mehrman - Atlanta GA, US
Larry Rockhill - Trinity FL, US
International Classification:
B65D 51/16
A47G 19/22
B65D 39/00

Abstract:
A vented bottle or bottle cap that typically includes two one-way valves. The first one-way valve vents the bottle while fluid exits the bottle, and the second one-way valve prevents spillage. The vented bottle or bottle cap may be configured for use with a conventional sports bottle, a conventional soft drink or water bottle, or a specially designed bottle with a vent tube near the bottom of the bottle. The vented bottle cap may also be used in conjunction with a pouch system that allows a user to fill a pouch with fluid while the pouch is securely supported within the bottle. In this manner, a user can carry pouches, such as foil or plastic pouches, with desired ingredients, such as a water purifying chemical, a flavor ingredient, electrolytes, medicines and so forth. A pump may be used to deliver water from a water supply into the pouch while the pouch is supported within the bottle.
