Abstract:
In one aspect, a method for implementing a currency system for giving includes: receiving a donation to a donor-advised fund; converting, by a computing system, the donation to an intermediate currency different than a currency of the donation; receiving, at the computing system, instruction designating a gift for distribution to a recipient organization, the gift including at least a portion of the donation in the intermediate currency; and transferring, from the computing system, the gift to the recipient organization.
