Apparatus To Predict Fan Wear-Out And Impending Failure And Method Of Manufacturing The Same

View page
US Patent:
7953576, May 31, 2011
Filed:
Oct 14, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/250610
Inventors:
Raghothama Reddy - Murphy TX, US
Mark A. Haisler - Dallas TX, US
Assignee:
Lineage Power Corporation - Mesquite TX
International Classification:
G08B 21/00
US Classification:
702183
Abstract:
An apparatus for predicting fan wear-out and impending failure and a method of manufacturing the same. One embodiment provides for (1) a lookup table containing expected fan speeds at given duty cycles; and (2) a processor for comparing a measured fan speed at a given duty cycle with an expected fan speed at the given duty cycle, the processor generating a predicted fan wear-out and impending failure.

Apparatus And Method For Effecting Electrical Connection Between A Power Source And Equipment

View page
US Patent:
20030143881, Jul 31, 2003
Filed:
Jan 30, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/060726
Inventors:
Stephen Ferranti - Rowlett TX, US
Stephen Frazier - Garland TX, US
Mark Haisler - Rowlett TX, US
Michael Steeves - Garland TX, US
International Classification:
H01R004/60
US Classification:
439/213000
Abstract:
An apparatus for effecting electrical connection between a power source and equipment includes: (a) a first conductor having a first aperture; (b) a second conductor having a second aperture; (c) an insulator having a connecting bore coaxial with the first and second apertures to establish a bridging passage extending a bridging distance to traverse the first conductor, the insulator and the second conductor when assembled with the first conductor and the second conductor substantially parallel separated by the insulator; and (d) a bridge having an axial length at least equal with the bridging distance and a transaxial dimension less than the passage diameter and having a first engagement structure in the first aperture and a second engagement structure in the second aperture when the bridge is engaged; the bridge is removable from engagement to interrupt electrical connection between the power source and the equipment.

Apparatus And Method For Holding A Cover In A Closed Orientation

View page
US Patent:
20080129055, Jun 5, 2008
Filed:
Dec 4, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/566536
Inventors:
Min C. Kim - The Colony TX, US
Khanh Nguyen - Allen TX, US
Mark A. Haisler - Dallas TX, US
Assignee:
Tyco Electronics Power Systems - Mesquite TX
International Classification:
E05C 19/06
US Classification:
292 80
Abstract:
An apparatus for holding a cover in a closed orientation substantially covering a chassis face of a unit; the unit containing equipment in an equipment volume; the equipment volume being partially bounded by the chassis face; includes: a positioning structure coupling the cover with the unit for selectively situating the cover in the closed orientation or in an other orientation; and a latching structure configured for latchingly engaging the chassis face and the cover for holding the cover in the closed orientation when the latching structure is in a first orientation. The latching structure does not engage the chassis face and the cover when the latching structure is in a second orientation. The latching structure is situated substantially entirely outside the equipment volume.
