My name is Margaret Jones and I am a second semester junior at Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management. There, I am studying to receive a triple major in marketing management, supply chain management, and entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises. I currently work as a student computer consultant at the Whitman School where I troubleshoot student problems, supervise equipment loans, and work one on one with students. Apart from my work experience at the School of Management, I have a lot of experience working in teams. For example I was part of a 5 person team that won the Macy’s Marketing Competition and got to compete in NYC. I am currently working in a 3 person team to further explore the world of supply chain more, by working to solve a lighting issue at Welch Allyn in New York. Last summer I was a Marketing Coordinator intern for a small business in New Hampshire. My work experience there included managing databases, creating advertisement campaigns, negotiating marketing deals, and being a PR representative on the radio. Before taking on this internship, I worked 3 consecutive summers with them which gave me valuable experience working with customers on a daily basis. This helped me learn to be patient while understanding customer issues, conflict management, and developing strong verbal communication skills. I am enthusiastic, hardworking, and egger to learn new things especially in my fields of interest in business.
