I moved to beautiful Boulder, Colorado with my husband in the fall of 2009. I had a daughter who attended CU as a literature major, and a son who attended Lincoln Technology in Denver, Colorado. Previously, I had lived in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for 13 years. We moved to be near our children and also to enjoy a change of climate from the gray skies, rain, and substantial snow in the winter of the Pacific Northwest. I was born in California, and I never thought I would move from that beautiful state. However, my husband wanted to live where there was a change of seasons and where we could raise our children in a small town environment. Moving to Boulder provided us with the best of all of our living experiences, as Boulder has 300 sunny days per year, a change of seasons, and is nestled against the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. My husband, a Physicist and Software Developer, wanted the mental stimulation and availability of an excellent four year college. The University of Colorado in Boulder provides us with that requirement. We were thrilled to find Boulder to offer a lot of cultural activities, excellent restaurants, and recreational opportunities and a mix of people of all ages that are friendly, intelligent, and nice. We could not be happier to live in this wonderful town.
