Played leading role in revitalization of the Boxwood Program. Received letter of recognition from Brian Duncan, President. of Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board, acknowledging my "demonstrated ability to manage high utilization even with the barriers we often face ". It was noted that the utilization rates increased significantly after U accepted the position. Spearheaded campaign to start DARE program at Prospect Heights Middle School in Orange Virginia in 1996, which still exists today . Assisted Daniel Price, Ph.D., in lobbying in Washington D.C. For funding for the FACE project, which with the support of Virgil Goode was approved. Taken classes and workshops in the four years including Medication Management, Stages of Recovery, Motivational Lateral Training, and Suicide Prevention. Specifically adept at working with dual-diagnosed clients. Volunteered at the Central Virginia Regional Jail, leading the substance abuse group weekly for 5 years.
