Method, System, And Product For Performing Sub-Configuration Of Entities

View page
US Patent:
7873503, Jan 18, 2011
Filed:
Nov 18, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/299215
Inventors:
Jeffrey William Loomans - San Francisco CA, US
Lisa Ann Laane - Cupertino CA, US
Assignee:
Siebel Systems, Inc. - San Mateo CA
International Classification:
G06F 17/50
G06F 9/44
US Classification:
703 13, 717116
Abstract:
Techniques to performing sub-configuration of components of an entity. In one method, the entity is configured via a parent model and each sub-configurable component is configured via one of a number of sub-models. Initially a selection to configure a particular sub-configurable component of the entity is received, and a sub-model for the selected component is identified. One or more values for one or more features of the selected component are received (e. g. , from the parent model or via the sub-model) and form a configuration for the component, which is then validated based on the associated sub-model and the received values. Configuration of the entity is also validated based on the parent model and the validated configuration for the selected component. Feedbacks may be provided for each configuration of the parent model and sub-models. The data for the parent model and sub-models may be localized or globalized.

Method And System For Supporting User Navigation In A Browser Environment

View page
US Patent:
20030066031, Apr 3, 2003
Filed:
Sep 28, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/967894
Inventors:
Lisa Laane - Cupertino CA, US
Assignee:
Siebel Systems, Inc. - San Mateo CA
International Classification:
G09G005/00
US Classification:
715/513000, 345/738000
Abstract:
Techniques to support user interaction in a browser environment, “capture” certain user actions, and perform appropriate defined actions. In a first scheme, “setup” pages are used to detect user actions. Each setup page is associated with a respective script that is executed when the page is activated (e.g., via a Back or Forward button). The script performs the defined actions to obtain the proper behavior for dependent pages. The scripts for the setup pages keep track of the state of these pages, and further maintain a local history stack for the URLs of the dependent pages. In a second scheme, each dependent page includes a hidden history frame having a script that performs a set of defined actions for the page. The script further keeps track of whether or not the dependent page has been loaded previously.

System And Method For Updating Forecast Model

View page
US Patent:
20080221949, Sep 11, 2008
Filed:
Feb 29, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/040651
Inventors:
Phillip D. Delurgio - Foster City CA, US
James Drew - Redwood City CA, US
Lisa Laane - Menlo Park CA, US
International Classification:
G06Q 10/00
US Classification:
705 7
Abstract:
A method for updating a forecast model is disclosed. The forecast model includes parameters that receives collected data representing historical dependent and causal data. The collected data are in different units of measure from one another. Based on the collected data, the forecast model is applied to determine a total error value from a calculation performed on the parameters in the forecast model. To update the forecast model, additional parameters are added, existing parameters are modified, or parameters are removed from the forecast model to determine a modified total error value. The modified total error value is then compared to the original total error value. The parameters are also converted to normalized values to be in a common unit of measure to facilitate the application of the forecast model to determine a total error value.

Systems For Facilitating User Engagement And Behavior To Improve Health Outcomes

US Patent:
20170300643, Oct 19, 2017
Filed:
Apr 17, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/489527
Inventors:
- Palo Alto CA, US
Leena Fernandes - Palo Alto CA, US
Lisa Laane - Palo Alto CA, US
Christian Wiedmann - Palo Alto CA, US
Ulrich Wiedmann - Palo Alto CA, US
International Classification:
G06F 19/00
G06F 19/00
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and machine readable media for implementing a service for facilitating user engagement and behavior to improve health outcomes. In many populations associated with a shared health insurance plan or Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), members may become less healthy over time, or may remain at a suboptimal state of health. Individual members and the population as a whole may be nudged toward improved health outcomes with various types of interventions. Described herein are embodiments of systems and methods for associating appropriate interventions with populations who are likely to benefit from them, resulting in improved health outcomes for the group.
