I was born to a Catholic/Assyrian family in Iran, and my husband is Italian, I have 2 children (twins – a boy and a girl). I have lived around the world and know four languages; they include English, Italian, Persian, and Assyrian. I also comprehend Spanish and Russian. I graduated from ISU in December 2001 with a degree in Business Administration (Information Systems). This has given me the opportunity to improve my knowledge of American business and culture. I have lived in Bloomington – Normal since January 1999 and have been President of the Italian Cultural Society for four years. I have traveled a lot, and I am familiar with the problems people encounter when they move to a new area.
