US Patent:
20210295429, Sep 23, 2021
Filed:
Jun 4, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/303671
Inventors:
- McLean VA, US
Kurry TRAN - Brooklyn NY, US
International Classification:
G06Q 40/02
G06F 21/62
H04L 29/06
H04L 9/06
H04L 9/32
G06Q 40/00
Abstract:
A device may receive application questions for an individual applying for credit with an organization. The device may broadcast the application questions to additional devices that have access to a distributed ledger for sharing credit worthiness information to cause at least one of the additional devices to generate an application response to the application questions and to process the application response using a smart contract. The device may receive one or more application responses that have been encrypted. Each of the application responses may include particular credit worthiness information relating to the individual. The device may decrypt the application responses. The device may determine a credit worthiness score for the individual using the application responses. The device may perform one or more actions that allow the device or another device associated with the organization to use the credit worthiness score to determine whether to approve the individual for credit.

US Patent:
20200242621, Jul 30, 2020
Filed:
Apr 15, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/849200
Inventors:
- McLean VA, US
Kurry TRAN - Brooklyn NY, US
Assignee:
Capital One Services, LLC - McLean VA
International Classification:
G06Q 20/42
G06Q 20/04
G06Q 20/40
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments relate to secure documents that are capable of being in an activated or deactivated state. When in the activated state, the document may be redeemable; when in the deactivated state, the document may not be redeemable. The document may be issued in the deactivated state and may require activation before being used. In order to activate the document, a user may log into an account associated with the document and scan a code printed on or embedded in the document. Using their account, the user may issue an activation command. This activation process ensures that, at the time the document is transferred, it is either in the presence of the user or the user is aware of the location of the document, and that the user wishes to authorize the transfer. Thus, even if the document is stolen or misplaced, it cannot be used without the requisite authorization.

International Classification:
G06Q 20/10
G06F 16/2457
G07F 19/00
H04L 29/08
Abstract:
A device may receive, from automated teller machine (ATM) devices, information related to a capability of each of the ATM devices to provide cash, or a fee to be charged by each of the ATM devices in association with providing the cash. The device may receive, from a user device, a request to identify an ATM device of the ATM devices. The device may determine scores for the ATM devices based on the information related to the capability of the one of the ATM devices or the fee to be charged by the one of the ATM devices. The device may determine a rank for the ATM devices based on the scores for the ATM devices. The device may provide, to the user device and based on the rank, information identifying the ATM device or one or more other ATM devices of the ATM devices.

H04N 7/18
G06F 21/12
G06F 21/60
H04L 9/08
Abstract:
A processor may process a video feed of a monitored area. The processing may include attempting to decrypt the video feed using a temporally-varying digital rights management key in a state corresponding to a time at which the encrypted video feed was received and encountering a decryption error during the attempting. The processing may include comparing the video feed with an output feed from a secondary sensor to determine that at least one object is indicated in the monitored area by the output feed and not visible in the video feed. The processor may indicate a problem with the video feed. For example, the processor may indicate that the encrypted video feed has been altered prior to the receiving of the encrypted video feed due to the decryption error and/or that the video camera is malfunctioning due to the at least one object being not visible in the video feed.
